Abbot Doubles Down, Orders Further Construction of Texas Border Barrier

The Texas National Guard is continuing to help Governor Greg Abbott take border matters into his own hands and defend Texans in the El Paso area from the many problems posed by mass migration, particularly of the illegal kind. To do so, it is now strengthening the border wall in the El Paso area by adding more concertina wire.

Governor Greg Abbott cheered the progress being made in a post on Twitter in which he shared some great images of the Texas National Guard constructing the concertina wire barrier, saying:

Texas National Guard are installing additional layers of razor wire in high-traffic areas for illegal crossings at the Texas-Mexico border.

They’re working around the clock to secure the border in the federal government’s absence.

Then, in another tweet, Abbott cheered the border barrier construction again, saying:

“Texas adds more razor wire to border. We’re also adding miles more of border wall. And we are turning back thousands of immigrants trying to enter illegally.”

In that tweet, Abbott also included a link to a news source reporting on the border barrier construction, eExtra News, which reported that the border barrier construction is part of Operation Lone Star, which “aims to take on illegal immigration where federal agencies have fallen short.” Continuing, the source noted that:

Since its launch in March 2021, the multi-agency effort [Operation Lone Star] has led to more than 336,000 migrant apprehensions as well as over 23,000 criminal arrests which include more than 20,000 felony charges.

According to Abbott, the Texas Department of Public Safety has been collaborating with the National Guard in order to execute Operation Lone Star and has seized more than 354 million lethal fentanyl doses.

Abbott also cheered how many illegals he has bussed out of the state, saying:

As of today, Texas has bused more than 16,500 migrants to sanctuary cities.

    ▪️ Over 9,100 to DC
    ▪️ Over 5,100 to NYC
    ▪️ Over 1,500 to Chicago
    ▪️ Over 840 to Philadelphia

We’ll continue providing relief to overwhelmed border communities as Biden refuses to secure the border.

Abbott also recently released a press release on Operation Lone Star and its many 2022 accomplishments, with the press release reporting that:

Governor Greg Abbott, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), and the Texas National Guard are continuing to take historic action in 2022 under Operation Lone Star to secure the border and stop cartels and criminals from smuggling deadly drugs, weapons, and people into Texas.

Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to over 336,000 migrant apprehensions and more than 23,000 criminal arrests, with more than 20,000 felony charges reported. In the fight against fentanyl, DPS has seized over 354 million lethal doses of fentanyl during this border mission.

Operation Lone Star continues to fill the dangerous gaps left by the Biden Administration’s refusal to secure the border. Every individual who is apprehended or arrested and every ounce of drugs seized would have otherwise made their way into communities across Texas and the nation due to President Biden’s open border policies.
