Reverend Franklin Graham blasted New York City DA Alvin Bragg and the Manhattan grand jury that are committed to moving forward with the indictment of former president Donald Trump. After seeing how far man has fallen, he declared that only God can save this country now.
“It’s a shameful day for America as former President @realDonaldTrump was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury,” Graham said in a viral statement posted to Facebook shortly after the news of the indictment broke.
Graham excoriated Democrats for weaponizing America’s legal system “for their political gain while ignoring the current Administration’s faults and deficiencies.”
“There’s only One who can save this country, and that is God and God alone,” Graham then declared.
“Why should He even hear our prayers when we have turned our back on Him?” he asked. “But I’m going to keep praying that God will intervene and save this nation so we will continue to be that beacon of hope for this very dark world”:
The former president himself also went on the offensive after the public learned he was being sought in New York for alleged criminal offenses. The “Trump Team” released a powerful and fiery video highlighting this latest political targeting as well as past efforts to sink him like the Russian Collusion narrative and January 6th.
“Remember this. Nothing worth doing ever, ever, ever came easy,” Trump can be heard saying in the ad as images are overlayed. “Following your convictions means you must be willing to face criticism from those who lack the same courage to do what is right. Relish the opportunity to be an outsider. Embrace that label.”
“Being an outsider is fine,” he continues. “Embrace the label because it is the outsiders who change the world and who make a real and lasting difference. The more that a broken system tells you that you are wrong the more certain you should be that you must keep pushing ahead.”
“You must keep pushing forward. Never, ever give up,” he says at a different moment. “There will be times in your life you’ll want to quit, you’ll want to go home. I can’t do it. I can’t do it. Just never quit.”
The ad then finishes with the classic Trump line: “They’re not coming after me. They’re coming after you. I’m just standing in their way,” he says in the closing moments.
“And you will have the faith to replace a broken establishment with a government that serves and protects the people,” the ad concluded, adding, “They’re not coming after me. They’re coming after you. I’m just standing in their way and I always will stand in their way.”
Trump also took to Truth Social and released the type of rhetoric and lambast he has also become known for, as he pulls no punches when calling out the corrupt Regime and Deep State forces so intent on conspiring against him.
“This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history,” Trump’s initial reaction stated. “From the time I came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was sworn in as your President of the United States, the Radical Left Democrats – the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this Country – have been engaged in a Witch-Hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again movement. You remember it just like I do: Russia, Russia, Russia; the Mueller Hoax; Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine; Impeachment Hoax 1; Impeachment Hoax 2; the illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid; and now this.”
