30 Year Old Mother of Two Dies Suddenly after Suffering Migraines for Months

TikTok star Jehane Thomas died suddenly at just 30 years old last Friday. Her sudden death came after she had suffered from painful migraines for months.

Ms. Thomas described those migraines and the medical issue leading to them in an early March post on Instagram, saying:

I just wanna do a huge soppy post to say how grateful I am to each and every person who is supporting @printandpackuk. I’m quite open when it comes to my struggles because I know first hand how much it helps other people. I was diagnosed with Optic Neuritis a few months ago after nearly 2 years of being told my migraines were stress related. They then thought I had MS which was ruled out (for now) but now the pressure in my head literally takes me off my feet. I wanna start my thank yous by saying a huge thanks to my mum and dad who are always there to help me with the boys. I hate being wiped off my feet with a migraine or sickness but they will always be the first ones to take the boys for a few hours and I’m so grateful to have you both🤍

P+P has been my saviour. Having @kirsty_92x & @megsysj to take a huge load of work off of me has been a life saver. We all have our own strengths but to be a successful business, you have to have other people around to help (& also have them to tell you no once in a while 😜) This week has been my worst week health wise but has also been our biggest week business wise. We are on the 5th day of the month and have processed just under 60 orders already 🙈 So a huge thank you to everyone who checks on me,likes/comments on our posts but most importantly, thank you to each and every customer. Without you, P+P wouldn’t be what it is today. We are approaching our 1 year anniversary and have processed well over 1,100 orders already so thank you 🥺🥺 & it’s not a soppy post without a next door neighbour mention… thank you to @alyx_andlloydboys who is always there for me no matter how busy she is. A simple, I’m not well today text and she’s at my door ready for a brew. I’m not sure what I did without you for all this time but I really am grateful to have you as my next door neighbour and bestie 🤍I’m hoping after Tuesday’s MRI I can finally get the help & treatment I need so I can really focus on business and taking it to the next level with the best bunch of girls by my side 🤍

She also posted about a hospital stay shortly before her death, saying:

6 days admitted into hospital and I’m finally home with my boys 🤍 It’s been a really challenging week, not just physically but mentally. I’ve missed these two so much and feel like they’ve both grown up so much whilst I’ve been away 😔After sharing my experience, many of you have told me to go and speak to PALS which I’ll be doing in the morning. I’m then going to email my neurologist and see what plan of action he has in place because I can not keep living life like this 😔

I may be home but I’m still struggling with these migraines as nothing was really done to help them after a whole week of being there and I’d rather self medicate at home with these around me then me left in a bed on my own all day & night so I may not be fixed but I’m not giving in 🤍Thank you to everyone who has reached out but most importantly thank you to my parents & Liam for taking over the boys & the house for me, always making sure they were looked after. Thank you for making sure they knew mummy was okay and sending me pictures and videos to help me get through the longest days in hospital without them 🥺 A huge shoutout to my besties Alyx, Kirsty and Marc for being by my side in the hospital when I was at my worst and not forgetting Alex for watching the boys for us and Jodie & Ciara for chipping into a huge bag of goodies for me that Alyx pampered me with 🥺

She also posted a video on last Wednesday, just two days before her sudden death, in which she said she was scheduled for surgery and could barely move. In the caption of the video, she said:

“I am still waiting to go down for surgery. The reason they didn’t do it last week was because having fluids in me would solve the issue. I have 4 liters of fluids in me and my head this morning is horrific. I’m waiting to see if I can take one of my Frovatriptan before surgery because no other pain relief is taking this pressure or if I need to ride it out and hope the surgery gives me instant relief. I can’t lift my head up without wanting to be sick and I’m unable to walk, I need to be wheeled everywhere. That’s how bad this pain is.”

The American Academy of Ophthalmology, describing the condition she suffered from, optic neuritis, said “Optic neuritis is swelling of the eye’s optic nerve. The optic nerve carries light signals from the back of your eye to your brain so you can see. If the optic nerve is swollen, damaged or infected, you cannot see clearly.”

Her friend created a GoFundMe in which she asks for help to take care of the two boys and have a decent funeral, saying:

Jehane Thomas was a 30 year old, mum of two boys when she suddenly passed away on 17/03/2023. Despite suffering from migraines and bouts of illness for several months, her passing was totally unexpected and we are all absolutely heartbroken.
Her two children, Isaac (3, almost 4), and Elijah (1), have been left without their mum. I’ve started this page in the hope of raising some money so her beautiful boys can have the best childhood, make memories and make sure they are comfortable. Nothing will bring the boys their mum back, but we hope it will bring some relief to her family, knowing how loved and supported they are.
Jehane – I promised I’d do what I can for those boys, so that’s what I’m vowing to do. I love you…
