Country rock superstar Ted Nugent appeared at Trump’s Waco rally to play the national anthem, shredding the guitar in what was a rock-like take on the powerful and patriotic song.
Given its happening near where Clinton’s paramilitaries in the FBI and ATF murdered dozens of Americans and happening before a rally for Trump, who is routinely targeted by the same FBI jackboots, the performance was quite powerful. Commenting on the video, people said things like:
“I got chills 🙌🏻”
“Very good rendition of Jimmy Hendrix.”
“Hell yeah!”
In that respect, Nugent’s performance drew comparisons to the recent Chris Stapleton Super Bowl National Anthem performance. Beautifully done, Stapelton’s performance drew tears from many in the audience, as we reported on The American Tribune, saying:
Country music artist Chris Stapleton turned in one of the most memorable renditions of the national anthem ever for the Super Bowl in the game’s storied history, according to countless viewers who turned in to see the pregame ritual.
Stapleton, the third consecutive country music singer to be honored with the privilege of singing the Star-Spangled Banner, did not disappoint with his soulful, tear-jerking performance. The song lasted two minutes and one second.
“Grown-a** men crying to Chris Stapleton singing the national anthem,” one Twitter user wrote. “Wow, this one is right up there with Whitney Houston’s performance. Just amazing.”
Another said they were still “mopping up tears” after listening to the powerfully moving singing.
Predictably, Nugent’s comments on the Ukraine aid and the Ukrainian president infuriated the leftists. Newsweek, for example, launched into a tirade about how Trump supporters are incorrect to think America is disappearing, saying:
The continuous aid sent by the U.S. to Ukraine has outraged some conservatives and Republicans who oppose sending more funds, including MAGA Republicans such as Representatives Matt Gaetz of Florida and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia who recently called for impeaching Biden for supporting the Eastern European country.
MAGA (Make America Great Again) is a political slogan that was first introduced by Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign. Those who believe and tout the MAGA agenda, which includes criticism of Biden’s policies, often act on impulse fueled by fears and concerns that they might lose their country, according to UC Santa Barbara political science professor Christopher Sebastian Parker.
“Right now, these people feel like they’re losing their country and their identity. They feel like they’re being displaced by communities of color, by feminists and by immigrants. These people are motivated by what they see as an existential threat to their way of life,” Parker said in a 2021 research that he co-authored, looking into MAGA supporters’ behavior in wake of the Capitol riot in 2021 when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building in an attempt to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s presidential victory.
