Sadly, not even country music, which appeals to and is meant for middle-class, red America, has been able to defeat the scourge of wokeness. And so one of its current stars, Maren Morris, has sparked a controversy by using her position to push drag queens on her toddler.
She announced that she had done so during a profanity-laden rant at a recent LGBTQ+ benefit show in Nashville. Specifically, she told the crowd that she had voluntarily introduced her toddler, a mere 2 years old, to drag queens. And not only drag queens, but drag queens in their dressing rooms. So dudes taking their clothes off and dressing as pretend women. She took her kid to that.
Telling the crowd she had done that, she said “And yes, I introduced my son to some drag queens today, so Tennessee, f*ckin arrest me.” She then claimed that her son was “delighted” to watch the drag queens do their makeup and get ready to perform. Yikes. Even if she’s not arrested, CPS needs to save that kid ASAP.

Morris was performing at the “Love Rising” concert, which was meant to raise money to fight legislation to ban medically transitioning minors and drag shows for kids. The Tennessean, reporting on the woke concert, said:
A country star, a soon-to-be Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and more than a dozen drag performers all shared the stage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Monday night for “Love Rising,” an all-star benefit concert for LGBTQ causes.
Co-organizers — which included singer-songwriters Allison Russell and Jason Isbell — put the show together in a matter of weeks, and did so in response to a pair of bills which were signed into law by Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee on March 2. The new laws ban gender-affirming health care and “adult-oriented” entertainment, including “male and female impersonators,” from public property.
With that in mind, “Love Rising” played as part concert, part rally, and part arena-sized support group. Performers included Russell and Isbell, Maren Morris, Sheryl Crow, Hayley Williams, Hozier, Brittany Howard and more than a dozen others. Below, a few of the memorable statements made — in speech and song — from the “Love Rising” stage.
For reference, the Tennessee legislature just took a major step forward in the culture war, fighting to protect the eyes and innocence of children by banning drag shows from occurring in front of kids. That bill, SB 0003, has now been passed by both the Tennessee House and Senate and is headed to the desk of Gov. Bill Lee. The bill’s summary provides that (emphasis ours):
This bill creates an offense for a person who engages in an adult cabaret performance on public property or in a location where the adult cabaret performance could be viewed by a person who is not an adult. The bill defines an “adult cabaret performance” to mean a performance in a location other than an adult cabaret that features topless dancers, go-go dancers, exotic dancers, strippers, male or female impersonators who provide entertainment that appeals to a prurient interest, or similar entertainers, regardless of whether or not performed for consideration.
A first violation of this offense is a Class A misdemeanor, and a second or subsequent violation of this offense is a Class E felony.
