“Quit Supporting This Company”: Enraged Conservatives Vow to Boycott Ohio-Based Software Company Allegedly Caught Bragging about Laying Off Americans After Forcing Them to Train Their Foreign Replacements [VIDEO]

Ohio-based MRI Software is facing a boycott call after an internal video circulated alongside allegations that American employees were forced to train foreign replacements before losing their jobs. The controversy follows earlier employee accounts describing work moving overseas and reporting about layoffs at the real estate software company. In the footage, a company speaker thanks employees for training incoming personnel and celebrates hundreds of hires.

The recording is labeled “2026 Global Town Hall – Q3,” with a September 1, 2026, broadcast date. Matt Forney shared the excerpt on X, saying a worker supplied the internal footage. He accused the company’s CEO of bragging about replacing Americans with workers from India and South Africa.

Against a presentation background bearing the words “Sky Blue,” the speaker discusses the company’s transformation and recent business events. “The sun is shining through, and those difficult changes, those difficult times, are beginning to show the fruits of that light.” After mentioning gatherings in London and Sydney, he turns to the company’s plans and thanks employees for their contributions.

In the footage shared by Forney, the speaker says: “That plan is on schedule and on track, and I am so proud of each and every one of you for the roles you play in the transformation, for the people that you hugged and thanked, for the people that you trained on their way in.” He continues: “You know we’ve added hundreds of people in our support arena, in our innovation arena. We’ve hired amazing talent all over the business.”

Months earlier, U.S. Tech Workers founder Kevin Lynn described an MRI employee’s account in a May 2026 article for the Institute for Sound Public Policy. According to Lynn, American staff helped developers in India learn their work, with the overseas teams gradually assuming responsibility for meetings, code and entire products. One complex transfer allegedly took three years. The employee said “it felt like we were just sitting in prison, waiting to be called before the firing squad.”

A separate anonymous Glassdoor review dated June 26th, 2025, attributed to an analyst, described a team being replaced by contractors in South Africa. The reviewer alleged those contractors were subsequently replaced by personnel in the Philippines whom the analyst trained before being dismissed. “It became clear I had unknowingly been training my replacements.” These allegations were posted more than a year before the town hall.

Another anonymous review dated July 18th, 2025, attributed to a software engineer, alleged layoffs and outsourcing to India. Company responses displayed on Glassdoor acknowledge a transition to global capability centers. “We recognize that the transition to global capability centers can be challenging.” Those responses also describe career counseling, reskilling opportunities and severance packages where applicable.

MRI CEO Patrick Ghilani subsequently acknowledged job cuts in an October 2nd, 2026, Commercial Observer profile, which reported that he said the company laid off employees to focus on research and innovation. According to Ghilani, MRI generated more than $800 million in revenue in 2025 while remaining profitable. He said the company was on track for roughly similar revenue and continued profitability in 2026.

The September discussion surrounding Forney’s video included a response from an account identifying MRI and noting its Ohio headquarters. An X user issued a call to withdraw support. “Americans need to quit supporting this company. If they can’t support Americans then screw them. Let them go bankrupt!”
