Islamists Are Using Mosque Networks to Back Radical Democratic Candidates All Across America on Election Day, from Michigan to Texas

As the election day races in battleground states approach their final decision, it appears that advocates of Islam in America are using mosque networks across the country in a desperate final bit to rally maximum support in favor of Democratic candidates in elections all across America, from Michigan to Texas.

Such was revealed by Breitbart News in a jaw-dropper of an article on the matter, with the outlet revealing  that top leaders of radical Islamist factions of mosque leadership in America, including a leader involved with the Muslim Brotherhood, have been pushing efforts to win the close battleground races seen as important to their interests.

For example, Breitbart News quoted Yasir Qadhi, who it described as being a “top U.S. leader of the dominant Muslim Brotherhood faction” in America-based mosques, as saying, “You need to vote for candidates that represent your interests and our interests … especially in the battle states of Texas and Michigan.” Muslim Brotherhood-connected Abdul El-Sayed is running in Michigan.

Such is what Qadhi said in a video posted to X late in the evening on October 29. In the video, the mosque leader began by declaring, “It is our ethnic duty, it is our civic duty, it is our religious duty to go and support those candidates and choose those that represent the best of our interests…”

Continuing, he explained that this election season is a critical one for Islam, and particularly for Muslims in America, saying, “We are undergoing perhaps the most important election season, perhaps of our entire lifetimes, and it is imperative that we, as Muslims of this country, as American Muslims, we avail ourselves to the same rights, the same privileges, the same sense of civic engagement and civic duty as everybody else.”

Concluding the video, Qadhi said, “And so, today, tomorrow, pray jumma [this is a midday prayer that is usually conducted at a mosque, as Breitbart noted] and go to vote for the ummah.” Ummah is an Arabic term that refers to the worldwide political community of Islam. Watch him here:

Abdul El-Sayed has been leaning into this rhetoric and strategy as well, as Breitbart News also noted. In one recent campaign event, for instance, he called on a large group at a mosque to get their entire families out to vote for him, and then gave the microphone to an imam standing next to him to translate, as the crowd members apparently didn’t all speak English, but could nevertheless vote. Watch that here:

Qadhi wasn’t the only one. A Muslim-American political commentator named Wajahat Ali chimed in on X as well, saying, “If, God forbid, Abdul loses, this will be a watershed moment in Democratic politics. The fire will rise. It’s over. People will be radicalized against corporate, pro-Israel Dems. There will be a reckoning. If, when, he wins, it will be a watershed moment. And that reckoning will still come.”

Robby Starbuck, a Tennessee Republican, called him out for the threatening but vague message, saying, in the comments on the post, “Wajahat, at least have the courage to fully state your threat. What’s going to happen exactly if Abdul loses? Spell it out for everyone clearly. Let’s see if you’ll actually do that or be a coward and give some mealy mouthed answer.” Another commenter, calling Wajahat out for his rhetoric, wrote, “that’s called terrorism btw”. Similarly, the “Not the Bee” account wrote, “So basically you’re saying win or lose, you’re a bunch of violent lunatics? Nice.”
