WATCH: Trump Hilariously Trolls the Media While Announcing Program Paying Americans for Reporting Fraud

When it comes to trolling the mainstream media, President Donald Trump is without a doubt the master. During a recent press event held in the Oval Office, President Trump showcased his expert-level trolling skills by offering reporters and news networks a one percent cut of any fraud they expose. Given how desperately the media has attempted to paint Trump and his administration as evil for uncovering massive fraud wasting billions of taxpayer dollars, they aren’t likely to take him up on his offer.

During the exchange with the press, Trump said that reporters can collect the same commission as anyone else working to uncover fraud, so long as their outlets sign off on it. This would mean that the network would have to provide coverage concerning the fraud, something they have actively avoided as of late to help protect fellow liberals.

In other words, Trump is offering to pay the press for doing actual journalism instead of being propaganda pushers. “You may turn it down, or you may say, I’m not going to be a reporter any longer. This is too easy. So, if a reporter turns somebody in, we’re going to continue the same 1%. So, if somebody turns somebody in for a million dollars, but the million dollars is very small potatoes, you get a 1% commission, subject to the rules of the nation, subject to all of the things,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.

“We’re going to let the reporters [participate] for the first time in many cases in your lives.” President Trump then praised a number of reporters for doing a good job and being professional, noting that working in the media isn’t a highly-profitable job, but one that is critical to the preservation of our society. “You’ve done a good job. Some are very professional journalists, but it’s not a very profitable thing to do. But it’s a very important thing to do. Very few things are more important than good journalism,” Trump said.

“But we’re going to, if they’re allowed to do it, if you can get approval from your media outlet, whoever that may be, we’re going to let the reporters partake because you know a lot of things that are happening, maybe many cases more than most others. So I’m going to add into that group of people reporters,” the president continued.

“So if anybody turns anybody in, $1 billion, $5 billion, $100 million, you get a 1% commission, and I think that will be amazing, because the kind of money that’s been stolen is trillions from this country, by crooked politicians that made things and set things up. Crooked attorney generals like we have in New York, like we have in Minnesota, like we have,” the president explained.

President Trump then explained how the new initiative would help expand anti-fraud and corruption efforts being overseen by Vice President JD Vance and his taskforce, who he referred to as “really amazing people.” Trump said, “I can name all of them. I can name all of them pretty much. This new incentive program will help expand the anti-fraud and corruption efforts of J.D. and his people, and they really are-they are amazing people, smart. It’s incredible.”

“Without any incentive, the kind of money that they’ve already found-billions and billions of dollars-and save American taxpayers, it’ll save trillions. I believe trillions. So since I came into office, we’ve already uncovered 260 billion dollars of fraud, and that’s peanuts compared to what the real number is,” Trump concluded the exchange.
