Leftist Pop Star Pauses His Huge Concert to Honor the Memory of Illegal Alien Gang Member Who Attacked ICE

Over the weekend, megastar singer Harry Styles asked a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden to offer up a moment of silence to offer a man named Oscar Belgal. Oscar, 28, was shot in the Bronx, New York City, earlier this year, while his 5-year-old son was in the backseat of the vehicle. It should be noted that Belgal attacked ICE officers and that is what led to his unfortunate injuries.

Styles, guitar in hand, told the crowd in attendance at the show, “I just want us to take a moment to think about Oscar Belgal tonight.” He asked for the moment of silence just before performing his smash hit “Sign of the Times,” one of the last songs on his set list for the Together, Together tour. Some folks in the audience captured the moment on video and uploaded it to TikTok.

“I want us to just think, [to] remember, to just look after each other,” Styles pontificated to the audience in his speech. And while he avoided direct use of the phrase “ICE” (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), he seemed to vaguely address the incident, along with the Trump administration’s deportation agenda, after saying Belgal’s name.

“It is up to us to make the cities that we live in places we want to see,” Styles stated, according to Billboard. “It’s up to us to make the world a place that we want to see, that we want to give to our children. So please continue looking after each other, and remember, your friends, the people you love, the people who don’t look like you and aren’t born where you are from: they deserve respect, love, dignity.”

“Please get home safely and look after each other,” Styles told the crowd. Last week, Belgal was backing his vehicle into a parking space located in Marble Hill with his young son in the backseat when his car was surrounded by ICE officers in plain clothes. He started to move his vehicle forward, but was shot in the neck before he could injure anyone.

According to NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch, one ICE officer fired seven times. City police, who are not allowed to get involved with border or immigration enforcement operations, showed up to the scene after receiving reports of shots fired. They transported Belgal to the hospital. As of this writing, Belgal is being held at Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, while his son is safe in the care of a family member.

According to information from federal officials, Belgal is an “illegal alien gang member” from the Dominican Republic who defied calls made by officers for him to exit the vehicle and then slammed into two government vehicles. Tisch also revealed that Belgal has a criminal record. “One for robbery in 2023, in which he pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny and received five years’ probation, and one for criminal sale of a controlled substance in 2025, which is still pending.”
