Tucker recently demolished the regime narratives surrounding January 6th, using the tens of thousands of hours of footage given him by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy to expose what things inside the Capitol really looked like on that day.
Predictably, Democrats were outraged. Among them was President Joe Biden, who said “More than 140 officers were injured on Jan 6. I’ve said before: How dare anyone diminish or deny the hell they went through? I stand with the @CapitolPolice. I hope House Republicans feel ashamed for what was done to undermine our law enforcement.”

Joining him was Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, for instance, who said “These lies continue tonight. Rupert Murdoch, who was admitted they were lies and said he regretted it has a special obligation to stop Tucker Carlson from going on tonight. Now that he’s seen how he has perverted and slimed the truth and from letting him go on again and again and again. Not because their views deserve such a proprium, but because our democracy depends on it.”
Schumer tweeted about it too, saying “Speaker McCarthy has held the gavel for less than three months. But by sharing the January 6th security footage with Fox News, he has already done more than any party leader in Congress to enable the spread of Donald Trump’s Big Lie.”
They’re probably mad because Tucker called them liars and exposed that the narrative they pushed was far from the truth, saying “it does prove without a doubt that Democrats in Congress, assisted by Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, lied about what happened that day. They are liars. That is conclusive and that fact should prevent them from ever being taken seriously again.”
Adding to that, Tucker also noted that their criticism of his sharing the footage were without basis in reality. Speaking about that, he said:
“Our producers had unfettered access to the Capitol surveillance video. Neither the speaker’s office or the bosses at Fox News interfered in any way with our investigation. And the 40,000 or so hours of tape, most of it turned out to be irrelevant. Static shots of empty rooms and in some cases far from the Capitol itself. To find relevant videotape our producers were given the use of Capitol computers with advanced mapping software that made it easy to find what we were looking for.”
“The usual hyenas in Congress and on cable news have been howling about we are putting lives at risk by showing this tape to the public. Given that these are the very same people who support open borders and defunding the police, it is hard to take their complaints seriously. We do take security seriously. Before airing any of this video we checked first with the Capitol police. We are happy to say the reservations were minor and for the most part they were reasonable.”
