Despite the claims being made on the mainstream media, it appears that when it comes to average voters out in the wild, President Donald Trump is as popular as ever. Just one day after attending the Saturday afternoon’s SEC football game between the Texas Longhorns and Tennessee Volunteers, Trump was again in the crowd of a high-profile sporting event, attending the Presidents Cup being held at Medinah Country Club just outside of the city of Chicago.
President Trump was provided an opportunity to give a short talk at the event, but despite its brevity, he received a very warm, healthy reception by those attending the event, with spectators breaking out in loud cheers of “four more years.” Of course, Trump is ineligible to serve another four-year term due to the Constitution’s term limits for the office of president.
The president, who has now attended several high-profile sporting events since taking office in January 2025, was also present at the beginning of the final round of the Presidents Cup on September 27, 2026. While President Trump was not expected to deliver an address, he was asked to make a few brief comments and he decided to do so, speaking for only a minute.
“These people want to see golf. They don’t want to hear speeches,” Trump said before the final round of the tournament. “I’ll only say this: our country is doing great, better than ever before.” The president, an avid golfer himself, said that the action on the course the world was about to witness, included performances by some of the best players in the world. He also predicted it would be “a very interesting day of golf,” Yahoo Sports reported.
While giving his short statement to the crowd in attendance, President Trump took a swipe at the mainstream media, saying they wouldn’t report on the warm welcome he received by saying that he received negative feedback from the crowd. But again, in video footage, the president pumped his fist to chants of “four more years!”
President Trump is a master-level troll who is supremely good at getting under the skin of others. Even better, he is unwilling to allow the mainstream media to attack him and not address what they say about him, which is one of many reasons they dedicate so much coverage time to him and the things he says. Like, for example, teasing the idea of running for a third term.

Trump knows that his teasing about running for a third term gets under people’s skin, especially liberals, who think he’s being serious about running for another term in the White House. Again, the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution explicitly says that no person can be elected to the office of the president more than twice. Of course, what makes leftists so nervous is that so many Americans, especially MAGA supporters, seem to legitimately want him to stay in office. In reality, they too are just learning how to troll.
