President Donald Trump shared a hilarious video clip on his social media accounts to mock CNN reporters that featured a man dressing up as a female journalist for the network in what appears to be a further escalation of his feud with the mainstream media in general and CNN specifically. Trump posted the video to his Truth Social platform shortly after slamming CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins and her colleagues as “sleazebags.”
Trump, having made several posts on the issue, uploaded the video as he continues to face backlash for his decision to strike back against biased networks like CNN, MS NOW, and Politico by banning them from the White House grounds due to consistent negative coverage and narrative twisting concerning his administration and the implementation of his America First agenda.
Reporters from the three outlets were stripped of their press badges the day following the official announcement of the ban. A lengthy list of other networks decided to join with the three in solidarity and pulled out of covering the White House voluntarily. Trump re-shared the video, which was originally uploaded on TikTok by film writer Patrick W. Cutler, after having an exchange with Collins at the United Nations.
According to a report from Yahoo News, the video, titled “Day in the life of a CNN reporter,” starts with Cutler lying in bed, before waking up and then putting on a pink dress, grinning broadly and slightly maniacally. He then applies lipstick and sports a blonde wig. “My life as someone who tells lies, all day long,” Cutler went on to say in a voiceover. “First, I get up, then I put on my fake news outfits.”
“I just can’t wait to make up a bunch of false rumors about Trump today. All right, let’s go bash Trump 24/7. Here we go!” Cutler continued. Trump obviously felt the video spoke for itself as he shared it without any caption for additional context. However, the president did take a few more swings at Collins and several other news organizations in a post published before he shared the video.
”All of the SLEAZEBAGS, like Third Rate ‘Reporter,’ Kaitlan Collins, of Fake News CNN, a truly unhappy person, said they weren’t going to be covering me,” Trump wrote. “Then why were they ranting and raving like Lunatics, in the Press Area, at the United Nations?” He then added, “Why was she there? She’s got a ‘TRUMP’ addiction, and so does CNN and MSDNC. They’re all sick, treasonous, and demented!”
“The ‘good news’ is that they have a great, for them, and totally disloyal Judge,” Trump said, making a reference to the lawsuit that the outlets filed against him requesting the judge to rule that the president’s ban was unconstitutional. Collins later addressed the president’s complaints during an appearance on her colleague Anderson Cooper’s program.

”There seems to be a reality inside the administration that this ban is not going to have legal muster and legal standing when it comes to a judge evaluating it tomorrow, and that likely things will return to the way they were before the president announced this on Friday,” she told Cooper. ”The president is the one who’s trying to dictate how we cover him,” Collins said. “And, of course, it is still our job to do so.”
