Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has finally revealed what she’ll be doing now that she has officially stepped down from her role in the Trump administration and much to everyone’s surprise, it has nothing at all to do with being on television, nor is it a job in the realm of politics. It’s much more normal than that.
Leavitt, 29, will be focusing the majority of her attention to renovating a home located in the state of Florida that she currently shares with her husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio. Trump’s former spokeswoman provided her followers on social media with a glimpse at the project by posting several photographs of the property over the weekend, asking if they wanted to follow along with the renovation project.
“We are renovating our place in Florida. Would you like to follow along?” she asked her followers while also posting a poll with a “yes” and “no” option for them to choose. Leavitt dropped another clue about the family’s plans while talking about a stroller on her Instagram account, mostly answering questions she was asked about it in the comment section.
“So many questions about our double stroller! I love the Nuna, but we needed another stroller for our Florida home,” the former press secretary said in her Instagram Story over a photo of her two children, two-year-old son Niko and four-month-old Viviana. Leavitt then said that the family does not plan on living at the Florida residence all year round, according to Trending Politics News.
“I ordered this on Amazon since we will only be here for a few months of the year, and it’s less expensive,” she told her followers. The couple primarily live in New Hampshire, which is where they met in 2022 while she was running for a seat in Congress. Her husband, Riccio, is a big shot in the real estate industry and owns a large portfolio of properties.
Leavitt officially left the White House at the end of August after becoming the youngest person to serve as press secretary in U.S. history. However, she spoke candidly about the demands of the job and attempting to raise a young family, confessing that it had become too difficult to balance raising two children, which is completely understandable.
During her final interview as press secretary, Leavitt said that riding off into the sunset from the position was bittersweet. “It’s bitter because I’m leaving a job that I love so very much, and it’s been the honor and blessing of a lifetime to work for this president, President Trump. There will never be another like him and to serve as his spokesperson behind that podium, it has been the adventure of a lifetime,” she said.

Leavitt then explained why she felt it was the right season to spend more time at home. “They’re just at a critical time in their life when they need their mom home a little bit more,” she went on to say of her growing family. And while she’s not the press secretary anymore, she remains one of Trump’s outside advisers. Leavitt also confirmed she would be returning to MAGA Inc., the Trump-aligned super PAC that employed her previously.
