A new video posted on Facebook is going viral for showcasing the utter hypocrisy of the radical left who talk a big game, but when asked to follow through with action, they’re not on board. In the video, a man-on-the-streets kind of interviewer is asking people what they think about President Donald Trump’s action to deport Somalis in the country illegally and if they would be willing to take in these individuals themselves.
The interviewer spoke with an older white liberal woman about this very scenario. She made it pretty clear, she wasn’t in the market for a Somalian roommate. “Trump is banning immigration from Somalia. What are your thoughts about that?” the man asked the woman in the video. “I think it’s terrible,” she said. He follows up by asking her why she thinks that way.
“I just think that there’s a lot of bad things going on in Somalia, and we should be taking people in war-torn countries in,” she replied. The host then flipped the script on the woman and asked her if she, personally, would be able to take in an alien from Somalia and take care of that individual. She was suddenly not as gung-ho about the prospect of welcoming in foreign nationals after being challenged to put her money where her mouth is.
“I don’t know. I’m not sure if I could or not. I don’t live in New York,” she replied. “Oh, that’s okay. Where do you live?” the man asked her. She then revealed that she hails from the very liberal state of Massachusetts. The host responded, “We could send them to Massachusetts if that’s alright? Could we get your name, email address, and then how many you’d be able to take in?”
Looking for a means of escape from the situation she now found herself in, the woman said, “I couldn’t do that without talking to my husband first. I might be open to it.” Conservatives noted the irony of a deeply liberal woman, a likely feminist, suddenly needing the approval of her husband before making a decision about their home.
“You might be open to it?” the man asked her. “But I would want to have more information first,” she quickly replied. “Okay. Could we just get your information, just in case –” the woman interjected, “No, only because I don’t know who you are.” The man finally introduced himself, “Oh, I’m Matt Miller.” The woman replied, “I get that, but I’d do it through an organization.”
One person summed up the attitude of the woman and a liberal man who was also interviewed, perfectly, writing, “So…they want a cheeseburger but without the cheese.” Someone else stated in the comments that they weren’t surprised to find that liberals themselves weren’t willing to actually step up and take these “refugees,” but expected everyone else to handle the problem.

“Of course they won’t!” the person commented. “Saw that coming from a mile away.” Someone else said, “She needs more information so they can live with her. But not more information to let them into the country.” One user on Facebook said, “Very typical. As long as it doesn’t have an effect on them personally they are all for it. But as soon as they would have some skin in the game then they are out.”
