President Donald Trump roasted rock legend Bruce Springsteen, accusing him of having a raging case of Trump Derangement Syndrome — which is a slang term for someone who has an obsessive, illogical hatred for the president — going on to refer to the New Jersey singer as a “dried up prune” who has “suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon.”
Much of the vitriol behind the president’s explosive statement comes from the lengthy history of insults and lies that Springsteen has spread about him in recent years. Earlier this year, Springsteen paid a visit to the nation’s capital where he put President Trump on blast during a three-hour concert at the Washington Capitals stadium.
The singer’s most recent tour has been almost exclusively focused on espousing anti-Trump rhetoric, much like Springsteen did at the show in Washington, referring to the president as a “racist, incompetent and treasonous.” And that was just the start of the show. The Trump bashing continued between songs over the course of the next three hours.
President Trump took to Truth Social where he wrote that the New Jersey native is “Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS.”
“The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election, including the popular vote, all Seven Swing States, and 86% of the Counties across America. Under Sleepy Joe and the Dems, our Country was DEAD, and now we have the “hottest” Country by far, anywhere in the World. MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. AMERICA IS BACK!!!” Trump’s post concluded.
Springsteen, 76, wrote and recorded a new version of his older hit, “Streets of Philadelphia,” retitling it “Streets of Minneapolis,” focusing his ire on criticizing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for doing their job to detain and deport anyone not here legally — in other words, enforcing the law — and for the deaths of two anti-ICE agitators who died as a result of attacking ICE officers.
Commenters on the post, which was shared as a screenshot on X, were solidly on President Trump’s side, with one user going so far as to say, “Bruce is a bitter has-been.” Another user had even harsher words for The Boss. “No self respecting MAGA Republican would sit through the filth that washed up LOSER was spittin’,” the individual wrote.

“He sucked in his prime. Now he’s just out for an opportunistic money grab. He thinks he’s Bob Dylan or some kind of folk hero but he’s really just a Reeetard,” the person continued. “Truthfully, it doesn’t even need to be said. Anyone who is MAGA isn’t going to spend a dime to see this loser,” one user said. Someone else said that the New Jersey rocker “has lost the ability to sing.”
