On Monday night, Tucker Carlson unleashed the whirlwind on the MSM and January 6th pearl clutchers. He did so with clips from the footage provided to him when he was granted access to over 40,000 hours of footage from Speaker of the House Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
Perticularly, he selectively used powerful clips from the day’s events, particularly ones showing cops leading the protesters around, to demolish the January 6th narrative crafted by the House Select Committee on the January 6th Attack and the mainstream media. Using those clips, he painted their narrative as false, saying “it does prove without a doubt that Democrats in Congress, assisted by Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, lied about what happened that day. They are liars. That is conclusive and that fact should prevent them from ever being taken seriously again.”
Continuing, Tucker noted that his team tirelessly combed through thousands and thousands of hours of footage to find the important bits and used advanced software to narrow their search, while also working with Capitol police to ensure that nothing about the Capitol’s security is put at risk by his release of the tapes. Speaking on that, he said:
“Our producers had unfettered access to the Capitol surveillance video. Neither the speaker’s office or the bosses at Fox News interfered in any way with our investigation. And the 40,000 or so hours of tape, most of it turned out to be irrelevant. Static shots of empty rooms and in some cases far from the Capitol itself. To find relevant videotape our producers were given the use of Capitol computers with advanced mapping software that made it easy to find what we were looking for.”
“The usual hyenas in Congress and on cable news have been howling about we are putting lives at risk by showing this tape to the public. Given that these are the very same people who support open borders and defunding the police, it is hard to take their complaints seriously. We do take security seriously. Before airing any of this video we checked first with the Capitol police. We are happy to say the reservations were minor and for the most part they were reasonable.”
And then, with those potential questions about how the footage was selected and whether national security was at risk settled, Tucker unleashed on the regime’s narrative about the day.
Ripping into the footage showing Capitol police leading protesters around, Tucker commented that protesters were let into the building or escorted throughout the Capitol by police. He also pointed to and aired footage showing that multiple individuals in civilian clothing were acting suspiciously, leading Tucker to question if they were federal agents and provocateurs. However, he stated that he had no proof of such claims and would not show their faces.
Further, Tucker explained that the mystery of Ashli Babbitt’s murder at the hands of a Capitol cop will sadly go unsolved because of a lack of cameras in the area where she was shot.
