Ohio Democratic gubernatorial nominee Amy Acton, who is most well known for receiving a DUI and slamming back alcohol while being on prescription drugs, made a complete fool of herself while attempting to start a chant against GOP nominee Vivek Ramaswamy during a recent campaign event when not a single soul joined in with her.
Video captured of the rally shows Acton attempting to fire up the crowd with a sing-song chant of “You cannot buy this state! You cannot buy Ohioooo! You can’t buy us! You can’t buy us!” The footage shows Acton trying desperately to get the crowd involved in the chant, repeating, “You can’t buy us! You can’t buy us in Ohio! That is the end of this.”
However, nobody in the crowd participated, leaving her the lone voice chanting the phrase, making it appear as if the vast majority is not on board with her, her platform, or the political theatrics. Reporter for Right Line News, Eric Daugherty, posted the video on his X account, writing, “Not only is this woman unhinged but she will govern Ohio like a LEFTIST DEMOCRAT the moment she gets in. No wonder she’s refusing to debate @VivekGRamaswamy.”
According to a report from Gateway Pundit, Acton’s campaign has refused to participate in any debates against Ramaswamy. The GOP nominee, on the other hand, has accepted invitations from CNN and Cincinnati’s WLWT, referring to the debate as a job interview that the people of the Buckeye State are owed from those who desire to lead the state.
Acton’s campaign manager, Phil Stein, has stated that she would not “platform a scam artist who spreads baseless lies about her and her family.” Stein then accused Ramaswamy of using artificial intelligence to make Acton appear to suffer from a substance abuse problem. The campaign manager also said that the Republican Party, along with other allies spent over $50 million to produce the “most vile and repulsive lies” in state history.
Most folks will remember Acton as Ohio’s health director during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is currently facing off against Ramaswamy after running uncontested in the Democratic Party primary. “Watch the clip. No chant. No energy. No message. It’s embarrassing! Just another Democrat acting like the rest of the country is the problem. Ohio is tired of that. Vivek is offering something different: growth, competence, and putting Ohio first so the state can actually compete again,” a user wrote on X.
“Sounds like someone at the bar past midnight. Needs a ride home,” another person said. Someone else slammed her for her history of hitting the bottle, saying, “She needs to sober up.” One user went on to say, “She has ‘unstable’ stamped on her forehead.” Another user hilariously joked, “Amy’s a woman of substance…and that substance is alcohol.”

Another person joked that Acton’s behavior at the rally looks suspiciously like an episode of postpartum depression, saying, “Amy Acton seems like she’s having postpartum depression illness.” Another person wrote, “She started early yesterday, but that’s nothing new. She starts early every day that ends in Y,” referencing her drinking habits.
