Sunshine State Socialist Horribly Smears ICE Agents with Ridiculous, Slanderous Lies

Florida Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon has launched repeated attacks against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), often referring to officers with the agency as “THUGS” and “kidnappers,” even going so far as to compare immigration detention facilities to a “modern day concentration camp.” Nixon has tried to argue that the agency needs to be abolished as she campaigns against incumbent Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL).

Nixon, who currently serves as a Florida state representative and is a member of the infamous Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), has taken the idea of abolishing ICE and built her immigration platform around it. In a post on social media, the Florida Democrat referred to ICE agents as “THUGS.” In another, she referred to axing the agency as a “moral choice.”

She then said that the U.S. needs to stop funding an agency that she claims “terrorizes our neighborhoods, acts like a rogue paramilitary force, and operates completely in the dark.” Nixon then described ICE enforcement techniques and strategies as “state-sanctioned violence,” before characterizing the whole agency as a “weaponized paramilitary force that is designed to terrorize.”

According to a report from Breitbart News, a clip shows Nixon calling ICE officers “kidnappers” while also advocating for them to be unmasked, exposing their identities to the radical left-wing protesters and anti-ICE agitators in the country who would love nothing more than to harass or even physically harm these men and women doing their duty to enforce immigration law.

Nixon has also crossed the line by comparing ICE detention facilities to “modern day concentration camps.” When confronted over the offensive remark, rather than apologize to the families of individuals who either survived or died in real concentration camps in World War II, she doubled down on her statement, going on to call ICE agents modern-day slave catchers.

The Florida Democrat has also seemingly insinuated that ICE officers might be shot while trying to do their jobs, as if advocating for liberal protesters to take their “resistance” to the next level. “We are a stand your ground state…I am concerned that some ICE officials might be shot,” she said. Nixon has previously argued that ICE officers would probably racially profile and fatally shoot African-Americans.

Nixon said she wants to see “bad actors” investigated, taken into custody, and placed behind bars. “We’re black. They gonna profile us, too. They can’t tell the difference between a black American that is a descendant of slaves here in this country or someone from Jamaica or Nigeria,” she said. “They are going to racially profile us and they are going to escalate things and they are going to shoot and kill us.”

“And they are going to get away with it unless we send people like me to Washington, DC, who are going to scrutinize and launch investigations to go after bad actors. To arrest them and to put them in jail and to call for an end and an abolishment of ICE,” she added. She then claimed that ICE was created to target and profile the Muslim community following the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
