In an absolutely titanic story showing how the agents in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are putting in the work to carry out President Donald J. Trump’s mass deportation agenda as much as they are able, Fox News reporter Bill Melugin revealed on X that ICE had carried out one of the most successful operations in its history.
As background, the news of the highly successful operation, which took place in the DC area, came alongside news that ICE and DHS generally have tremendously ramped up the number of deportations that they have carried out, with over 27,000 illegal aliens being deported in one smashing success of a week alone.
In any case, Melugin announced on X that he had been informed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that ICE had wrapped up one of its most successful operations ever. He said, “BREAKING/EXCLUSIVE: DHS tells @FoxNews that ICE has quietly carried out one of its most successful operations in agency history, resulting in the arrests of 1,328 illegal aliens in just a 14-day span in the states of Virginia & Maryland.”
Continuing, Melugin noted that many hundreds of the illegal aliens who had been detained by the ICE agents involved in the operation had criminal records, saying, “Nearly 400 of the aliens had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges, including a Salvadoran illegal alien wanted by police in Richmond, VA on a murder warrant. (Eygner Wilfredo Huezo-Moran’s mugshot below).”
Still not done, he described many of the other horrific crimes on the rap sheets of those migrants who have been caught by ICE during the operation, saying, “Other targets included aliens with rap sheets for attempted murder and rape, as well as convictions for sexual battery, kidnapping, robbery and DWI.”
He then noted that the ICE operation had primarily targeted sanctuary zones in the Swamp area, noting, “The operation primarily targeted the sanctuary jurisdiction suburbs in VA & MD around Washington DC, and ICE arrested anyone in the U.S. illegally, regardless of any criminal history.”
Adding to that, Melugin shared a video and noted that many of the illegal aliens had been caught trying flee from the ICE agents, saying, “I’m told many of the illegal aliens tried to flee from ICE or resisted arrest. Some videos of these arrests are below, courtesy of an ICE source who took part in this massive operation in VA & MD.”

Commenting on Melugin’s post, one commenter argued that sanctuary cities are high-priority targets not just because of the number of illegal aliens in them, but because of how that distorts the US Census, saying, “Its like fishing in a barrel in sanctuary states. But that is the goal of sanctuary states: attract illegal aliens for higher census counts for more congressional districts and more federal benefits.”
Others said things like “Excellent. The approach to deportations should be to do it quickly and quietly as possible.” and “Awesome. I could watch the TV show ICE all day long and never get bored. Get them all out”. Another said, “I’ve reporting a business for months and today I drove by and the whole place was cleaned up no sign of of an active business anymore.”
