WATCH: Homan Spars with and Shuts Down Lying, Woke CNN Host to Defend His ICE Agents

Trump administration border czar Tom Homan recently insisted during an interview with CNN host Dana Bash that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers would continue to conduct vehicle stops as part of their strategy to find, detain, and deport illegal aliens out of the United States. A brief pause was placed on the tactic after agents were involved in two shootings that left illegal migrants dead.

Reports allege that the now-deceased illegal aliens tried to run over ICE officers. During his appearance on “State of the Union,” Homan revealed that while there is a broader review of ICE operations happening as a result of the incidents, vehicle stops will continue to be used. “We evaluate training,” the border czar said.

“It’s something law enforcement does all the time. So I wouldn’t say — now that we’re evaluating some additional training — that mistakes were made. We will see. It’s all being reviewed. We will see where it lies,” Homan continued. Bash, who certainly lived up to her last name, pushed Homan, saying, “Well, we have seen with our own eyes mistakes that were made, deadly mistakes were made,” going on to point out “at least five” similar incidents.

She then pressed Homan concerning how much a review could yield during the one-day pause. Homan answered that changes had already been made and did not require putting a halt on the stops. “The acting director of ICE [David Venturella] did make some immediate changes. Right now, on all vehicle stops, there’s at least one body camera on site to record the entire event,” he told Bash.

“Journeymen agents are assigned to each stop. … It’s all under review. The training’s under review. The stops are under review,” he further elaborated. “So, the review hasn’t stopped. We just haven’t stopped the vehicle stops because those changes have already been made. So we’re going to continue doing those stops. Changes have been made.”

Bash then asked the border czar to discuss the specific changes that have been made. Homan once again pointed out the body-camera requirement. “We’ve got to make sure that on every vehicle stop … [there’s] at least one body camera on those vehicle stops … so whether the officer did something right or did something wrong, whether the alien did something right or wrong, it’s on video,” Homan said.

“And I’m a big supporter of video cameras … because I want the American people to see what that officer saw when he took whatever action he took,” Homan said as the segment concluded. An individual who commented on the video clip of the interaction said, “I wonder if it ever occurred to brain dead liberals that the Trump administration is doing nothing wrong.”

“They are upholding the law! we won the election this is what we the people voted for. Liberals think they can pick and choose what laws they have to follow. It does not work that way. Liberals think that if they throw a temper tantrum because their side lost the election that America is going to fold to their will,” the person continued. “That is not going to happen!”
