WATCH: Florida Motorcyclist Fleeing Police Flips Off Officer, Gets Hit by Truck

Florida man strikes again. Or, this time, he was struck by a truck. That happened when a Florida motorcyclist was fleeing the cops in a roadway chase and flipped them the bird before trying to dart through an intersection and getting hit by a truck. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office commented on the classically Florida incident in a post on Facebook.

Beginning the post, the department said, “Here’s a good way to get yourself killed. Last night, Deputy Bissonnette attempted a traffic stop on a group of motorcyclists popping wheelies on Old Dixie Highway. The group accelerated, fled at high speed and continued driving recklessly, passing vehicles across solid double lines.”

Continuing, it described what the reckless and rude drivers did next, saying, “Upon approaching North Beach Street and West Granada Boulevard, the group ignored a red light and continued fleeing from deputies. One of them took the opportunity to look back and flip off the deputies behind him, after which he entered the intersection directly into the path of an oncoming truck.”

It then described what happened to a survivor of the accident, saying, “Joshua Richardson survived the crash and ran away from the scene but was quickly apprehended by deputies in the area. In addition to a trip to the hospital, he’s charged with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, resisting without violence and leaving the scene of a crash. He’s also receiving traffic citations for failure to stop at a red light and passing in a no passing zone.”

The nearly three-minute long video shared by the department, Deputy Bissonnete attempted to pull over a group of motorcyclists who were “popping wheelies.” The group ignored him and his requests to pull over. Instead, they decided to lead the police on a high-speed chase.

The footage shows them weaving recklessly between cars before attempting to dart through an intersection at a red light. That ended predictably with one of the motorcyclists driving directly into the path of an oncoming car when flipping off police.

The police caught Richardson and pinned him to the ground, putting him in even more pain after his accident. Fox News Digital reported on that hilarious transcript as well, noting that Richardson said he was “hurt” as deputies handcuffed him. The police, obviously not having it with his antics, said, “idiot.” Richardson, in response, said, “I know.”

Then, after being handcuffed, Richardson started complaining about his hurt leg. Not putting up with that either, a deputy told him, “You know how your leg doesn’t get hurt? You don’t run from the cops and crash your bike.” Richardson, angry, snapped back. “Do you think this is funny?” In response, a deputy told him, “No, I don’t think it’s funny. It’s incredibly stupid.”

So not only will Richardson go to jail for fleeing from the police and driving his motorcycle recklessly, he’ll also have to deal with the painful consequences of getting hit by a truck. Watch the wild video where:
