WATCH: Tom Homan Utterly Obliterates Zohran Mamdani, Vows to Target NYC

President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, had strong words for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, an avowed socialist, after he commented on a recent anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement attack that happened in the Big Apple on July 20, 2026. Andrew Arrabaca, 43, a former U.S. Army soldier, was arrested after he allegedly shot a pellet gun and set off fireworks at 26 Federal Plaza, where the FBI and ICE have offices.

Federal agents quickly tackled the suspect to the ground, who was also armed with a machete and several other dangerous weapons. Three people were injured during the incident, including an immigrant who was at the location for a status hearing, according to information released by the FBI. The area is a frequent location of choice for anti-ICE and anti-Trump protests.

Arrabaca first poured gasoline all over the steps leading into the building and then used the fireworks to ignite a fire. Fortunately, the fire department was able to put out the flames. Mayor Mamdani took to social media platform X, where he referred to the incident as “deeply disturbing.” He then said that his administration “will continue to ensure that every New Yorker is safe in their city – and hold accountable any who threaten that.”

However, in an interview with Fox News, Homan made it clear that the mayor’s comments are too little, too late, given his history of criticizing ICE and perpetuating the leftist hatred for immigration authorities by comparing them to Nazis and referring to them as “racist.” Homan said, “Well, first of all, I appreciate the comments from Mamdani and Jeffries, but too little, too late.”

“They spent a year attacking ICE,” Homan continued. “‘Let’s abolish ICE because they’re fascists,’ ‘ICE are Nazis,’ ‘ICE are racists,’ ‘ICE is a secret police,’ ‘ICE isn’t a real law enforcement agency.’ I see the signs every protest. ‘Resist.’ So look, they have educated people that they can resist ICE, and the hateful rhetoric continues, which we’ve had some tragedies recently because people didn’t want to comply with ICE.”

“So this is yet another example today. What happened in front of federal buildings. Another example of attacking ICE, and I’m sure if you ask that person why he did it, he can repeat the talking points I just said that you hear from Democratic members of Congress, the Democratic mayors and governors who simply want ICE to go away,” he concluded in a viral clip making its way across the internet.

Homan also revealed that additional agents are going to be sent out to New York due to their sanctuary policies placing strict limits on cooperation between local law enforcement and immigration authorities. However, he did not provide any details about when the agents will arrive or how many will be deployed, according to NewsNation.

FBI New York Assistant Director James Barnacle spoke about the attack during a press conference, revealing that he also had three knives on him at the time of his apprehension. He fired a total of seven pellets from an airsoft weapon in the direction of the building. Two government employees were injured. A bystander was grazed.
