WATCH: A Reporter Tries to Embarrass Trump and He Totally Shuts Her Down to Her Face in Very Epic Fashion

President Donald Trump put a reporter in her place on July 21, 2026, after she questioned him about how he plans to bring the current war with Iran to an end at a press event held at the White House. During the back-and-forth, the reporter seemed to insinuate that she knew things about the conflict that he, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, did not know. Trump, predictably, shut her down and put her in her place.

“Mr. President, there are no signs that Iran is ready to stop fighting,” ABC News reporter Mary Bruce said, going on to ask, “so, what is the plan? Is the plan to just keep bombing until they give up?” President Trump immediately transformed into full warrior mode and challenged the assertions being made by Bruce.

“How would you know there are no signs? Why, do you know something I don’t know? You don’t know what the dialogue is behind the scenes, that they want to meet desperately to try to end it, because they’re getting decimated,” Trump responded. He then took Bruce to the proverbial woodshed for working for ABC News, which he called a “fake news station.”

“You don’t get that when you listen to your fake station, but you don’t know. You don’t know anything. You know something that I don’t know. You know something I don’t know. I will tell you. They want to desperately meet, and until they’re ready to meet in a meaningful way,” the president said.

According to a report from Huffington Post, Trump pressed Bruce again, asking, “Do you know something that I don’t know? Do you know something I don’t know?” The president’s comments come after U.S. Central Command renewed airstrikes against Iranian military targets in order to force them to reopen the Strait of Hormuz as the interim deal struck between Iran and the U.S. collapsed.

The Huffington Post report attempted to paint the encounter between Bruce and Trump as a sexist attack on women, recounting past run-ins he’s had with women in journalism, rehashing the story that he once told a female reporter, “Quiet, piggy” and storming out of an interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker a little over a month ago.

Users on social media have not been shy about their thoughts on the mainstream media, with one individual commenting on the clip, saying, “You can’t ever hate reporters enough. If this was Biden or Princess Word Salad there would be zero pushback from the ‘press.'” Another said, “These so-called ‘reporters’ are all paid frauds.”

Someone else ripped into the media, commenting, “The media are the Enemy of the American People.” Another individual proposed a more serious course of action for reporters who work for propaganda makers, saying, “95% of reporters belong in prison or hanging in the public f****** square.” One person suggested Bruce be permanently banned from the press room.

“That reporter needs to be kicked out and banned from the press room and from ever being able to ask President Trump or his staff questions again. So unprofessional trying to undermine President Trump,” she commented. User Maggie Jean suggested Bruce and other liberal reporters should consider themselves lucky that he “is even responding to them at all.”
