Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has introduced a new piece of legislation known as the Remigration Act, which would revoke the citizenship and immigration status of individuals who are caught violating America’s laws, defraud taxpayers, support terrorism, or threaten U.S. national security. If an illegal alien is convicted of aggravated felonies, government-benefits fraud, or other serious federal crimes or providing material support for a foreign terrorist group within a decade of naturalization, they can have their citizenship revoked.
If the bill is passed into law, it will also create a task force within the Department of Homeland Security to comb through asylum, refugee, and adjustment-of-status grants that were issued from January 20, 2021, to January 20, 2025, the time period that former President Joe Biden was in office, and review them to see if they line up with immigration law.
The Remigration Act would also make it mandatory for those seeking to become naturalized citizens to be proficient in English, something that would increase public safety, especially on roads, as those working in transportation would be able to read and obey road signs, something that has been a problem across the U.S. in recent years.
According to a press release published by Ogles, individuals who have been convicted of serious crimes will have nonimmigrant status and specific immigration benefits for nationals that hail from countries considered to be high-risk will be revoked. Another problem the bill addresses is birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants, putting an end to it, full stop.
Ogles’ legislation also makes it possible to deport illegal aliens who make anti-American statements or have affiliations that threaten the country’s national security or public safety. “America is not a dumping ground for criminals, terrorists, fraudsters, or people who hate our country,” Congressman Ogles went on to say. “If you abuse our generosity, break our laws, or threaten our people, you should be sent home.”
“Citizenship should mean something. Assimilation should mean something. This bill puts Americans first and restores sovereignty to our immigration system,” Congressman Ogles explained. Plenty of folks on social media platform X want to see the Remigration Act passed into law. “I hope the Remigration Act passes. There is a half dozen reasons that Mamdani should be denaturalized and deported,” Patriot Steve commented.
“People like Mamdani and his third world supporters who aren’t even American citizens, Ilham Omar, Rashida, and many Muslims and Indians who HATED…just HATED this country, USA, should NOT be in politics because it is all about domination & corruption!” another user wrote. User Steven Chavez was all in favor of seeing anti-American politicians like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani get booted out of the country, but then pointed out there’s another problem that also needs to be addressed.

“That would be great!
