The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a statement concerning an alleged terrorist plot that was targeting the Ultimate Fighting Championship Freedom 250 event, revealing that the ringleader of the individuals responsible for hatching the plot is an illegal alien from Mexico who overstayed his B2 visitor visa.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, an illegal alien hailing from Mexico, in Omaha, Nebraska on June 14 for his involvement in the plot to carry out what is being referred to as a “mass-casualty attack” against government officials and other attendees of the event at the White House. A total of four other co-conspirators have been taken into custody in Ohio, Missouri, and California.
On June 16, 2026, the Justice Department announced federal charges for all five of the suspects, including Alvarez, who went by the alias “Shepherd.” The FBI then revealed that Alvarez was the one who planned, organized, and directed the plot. He then provided the rest of the group details concerning the attack in an encrypted group chat, which included the use of “counter snipers and drones,” with their express intent to be “as deadly as we can get.”
According to a press release from DHS, Alvarez, along with the other four suspects, are looking at federal charges of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit violence on White House grounds. ICE has also filed a detainer for Alvarez. Acting Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Lauren Bis put out a statement about the incident.
“This illegal alien from Mexico should never have been allowed in our country. He was the ringleader of a failed terror attack targeting UFC Freedom 250 at the White House,” said Bis. “He and his co-conspirators now face charges of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit violence on White House grounds. He will face justice and swiftly be removed from our country.”
Alvarez entered the United States on a B2 visitor visa, but failed to leave the country before it expired in December 2001. He then received Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status in 2014 under the Obama administration. The official House Republicans X account shared photos of Alvarez with a very important message for American voters.
“Take a hard look at that arrogant grin, America,” the post read. “This is the face of an illegal alien who came here as a child, got special Obama amnesty in 2014, and repaid America by leading a terror plot against the White House during UFC Freedom 250.” The post then ripped into Democrats for always trying to play the “compassion” card when it comes to booting illegals out of the country.

“Next time you hear Democrats preach about “compassion” for illegals, remember this smug terrorist smiling in his mugshot — the same man who wanted to turn a celebration of freedom into a bloodbath on the White House lawn,” the post concluded. A user had the perfect response to the post, simply stating, “Deport his smug face.”
