WATCH: Democrat Senator Gets Absolutely Humiliated on Live TV after Being Unable to Even Answer One Basic Question

Sen. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE) made a total fool of herself during an interview on live television by refusing to give a straight answer to a simple question concerning socialism. Blunt Rochester appeared on a recent edition of CNBC’s popular Squawk Box program, where she was asked where, in the course of human history, socialism has ever been “beneficial” after being asked to weigh in on the outcome of several primaries in New York. She failed to give a satisfactory answer.

The primary race in question led to three openly socialist candidates winning their elections. Two of the three ousted incumbent lawmakers. Rather than provide an intelligent analysis about how these victories might improve the chances of Democrats winning more important political battles in the midterms later this year, the Delaware senator opted to celebrate the victories.

“I think that, first of all, the fact that people are engaged at a level they’ve never been engaged before is a positive thing, especially in the 250th anniversary of this country,” Blunt Rochester told the show’s host. “We want people to participate. What I can say, though, about Democrats, and as someone who is working to win the majority, what I can say is that politics are local.”

CNBC host Joe Kernen went on to ask Blunt Rochester later in the conversation where socialism as a political system has ever successfully worked to improve the conditions of a particular society. “Where has socialism ever worked, senator?” Kernen asked Blunt Rochester. “Is that another question or is that for the next interview?” she asked.

Kernen then repeated his question. “Well, when you have me come back on we can talk about all the races across the country,” she said. Kernen then fired back that the answer was a rhetorical question that he had asked her, before thanking Blunt Rochester for appearing on the show.

She never managed, however, to give a satisfactory answer on the socialism question, as the truth is that, as far as where socialism has been successfully implemented, there are no real examples of it working well for the long term. Watch her flounder here:

The three primary winners in New York City include Brad Lander, Claire Valdez, and Darializa Avila Chevalier. All three of their campaign platforms were built around socialist economic principles, an anti-Israel stance, and vehement opposition to President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement agenda. All three were endorsed by democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Trump has used that to call out the threat posed to America by socialism and communism, saying things like, “I would often say in Speeches, and otherwise, America will never be a Socialist Country, and I was 100% correct, the Dumocrats skipped Socialism, and went all the way down to Communism. AMERICA WILL NEVER BE A COMMUNIST COUNTRY!” and “Communism is the Greatest Threat to our Country since World War I, World War II, Pearl Harbor, or 9/11!”
