WATCH: Blue City Police Side with Antifa Agitators Against Conservative Journalist in Independence Day Meltdown

A brand new video clip of social media account SurgePhilly interacting with protesters in Washington, D.C. on July 4, 2026, is going viral after it shows the individual being harassed by several individuals during the event, including police officers who were allegedly part of the “First Amendment Communication Team.” The agitators are alleged by the person in the video to be part of Antifa.

In a caption for the video, SurgePhilly recounted how a crazed left-wing woman tried to use an amplified sound device, what looks to be a bullhorn, directly in his ear after he asked her husband, a British national, why he’s in America protesting against Independence Day. “A crazed woman attempted to use an amplified sound device directly in my ear after I asked her husband why he is protesting Independence Day in America while being a British national,” the account wrote.

“The police, ironically, the ‘First Amendment Communication Team’ then responded by telling me I had to leave and that I could not interact with the group,” the caption continued. “Then, a protest organizer approached and harassed my cameraman in an attempt to stop us from videotaping the event. The police said he was doing nothing wrong.”

The user then suggested that the police in our nation’s capital are emboldening Antifa agitators by defending them and their hostile tactics. The clip shows the woman, sporting a fanny pack and baseball cap, absolutely going bonkers on the man asking questions, repeatedly screaming, “Get the f**k out of my face!” with increasing hostility, while the man retains his calm demeanor.

It then cuts to a police officer telling the man to “not interact with the group.” He tells the officer that since he and his crew are journalists, they are allowed to be in the area and to try conversing with the individuals protesting since it is being held on public property. The cop then tells the man to “take the microphone” out of his face. He then repeatedly tells the SurgePhilly team to go to the other side of the street.

Later, another officer approaches the team and again tells them where they can stand and cover the protest. The host then points out that the officer is sporting a blue vest that identifies him as part of the “First Amendment Communication Team,” noting the irony of the officer stopping the team from exercising their own First Amendment rights.

A man in a brightly colored vest then attempts to stand in the way of the cameraman recording the event, following him and blocking his shots. The comments on the thread were supportive of the team and their attempt to expose the bad behavior of liberal protesters. “Liberals are ALL f***ed in the head. Lunatics. Retarded f***ed up lunatics,” one user wrote.

“Jeanine Pirro is the U.S. Attorney, both the federal prosecutor and the local prosecutor, for Washington DC. Maybe it would be nice for her to see how the police are acting and review this case,” another person commented. Someone else wisecracked, “More paid protesters who finally emerged from their mothers’ basements.”
