Hollywood celebrity Tim Robbins recently voiced his support of Woody Harrelson calling for an end to on-set COVID mandates in Hollywood. The movie star recently tweeted in reference to a New York Times Interview Harrelson gave, stating, “Woody is right. Time to end this charade.” See the tweet below.

Woody Harrelson told the New York Times when asked why he thought COVID protocols were absurd, “The fact that they’re still going on! I don’t think that anybody should have the right to demand that you’re forced to do the testing, forced to wear the mask and forced to get vaccinated three years on. I’m just like, let’s be done with this nonsense. It’s not fair to the crews. I don’t have to wear the mask. Why should they? Why should they have to be vaccinated? How’s that not up to the individual? I shouldn’t be talking about this [expletive].”
“It makes me angry for the crew,” Harrelson continued. “The anarchist part of me, I don’t feel that we should have forced testing, forced masking and forced vaccination. That’s not a free country. Really I’m talking about the crew. Because I can get out of wearing a mask. I can test less. I’m not in the same position they’re in, but it’s wrong. It’s three years. Stop.”
Woody also blasted COVID protocols during a recent monologue on Saturday Night Live where he talked about the “craziest script” he had read. The actor said on live TV, “So the movie goes like this. The biggest drug cartels in the world get together and buy up all the media and all the politicians and force all the people in the world to stay locked in their homes. And people can only come out if they take the cartel’s drugs and keep taking them over and over.”
“I threw the script away,” Harrelson continued. “I mean, who was going to believe that crazy idea? Being forced to do drugs? I do that voluntarily all day.” The joke he made has polarized audiences and sparked controversy ever since. Many woke mainstream media outlets have been particularly triggered by Woody. Salon wrote:
… he transformed into a version of that pal who’s internalized a measure of fringe lunacy as truth. Experiencing that in person can be infuriating and complicated especially when overall, that person is genuinely likable, someone we’d like to keep in our lives.
The New York Post called out the left who has been outraged at Harrelson stating:
Woody Harrelson took a jab at the jab — and revealed that much of the left still views COVID vaccines not as a medical advancement but as a religious virtue
..Predictably, the blowback was swift, with nearly every ensuing news story proclaiming Harrelson was spreading anti-vax conspiracy theories. Outrage spread on Twitter and a Vanity Fair critic opined: “Taking the stage to float conspiracy theories disguised as provocative humor is both intellectually dishonest and tedious.”
Harrelson and Robbins, both veterans in Hollywood, put their reputation and careers at risk to speak out against the woke consensus.
