WATCH: CNN Slammed for Ridiculous Investigation into Trump’s Reflecting Pool Water While Ignoring Bigger Issues

Leftist news outlet CNN is getting rightly raked over the coals after they took time to take a sample of the water in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to test it, rather than focusing on the more important issues facing the American people. President Donald Trump recently finished a $14 million renovation project of the Reflecting Pool, filling the more than 300,000-square-foot monument with 6.5 million gallons of fresh, clean water.

A user on social media platform X slammed the network in a post, writing, “CNN just took a sample of Trump’s new Reflecting Pool water for testing live on air. They’ll investigate that, but turn a COMPLETELY blind eye to the mass fraud taking place across the country. What a joke this network is.” Other individuals on the platform shared the original poster’s frustration.

One individual pointed out that the reporter who took a sample of the water might have violated federal law. “She may have broken the law,” the user wrote before going on to quote the statute, saying, “Under federal law (36 CFR § 2.1), it is strictly illegal to possess, destroy, injure, deface, or remove natural products from national park lands without a permit. Water from a park’s water body is legally classified as a natural resource.”

“Violators can be charged with a federal misdemeanor. This carries a fine of up to $500, up to 6 months in prison, or both. These strict rules exist to stop visitors from depleting ecosystems, stealing historical artifacts, or carrying away things like sand, stones, plants, and water as personal souvenirs,” she continued, before adding, “Hope they got a permit.”

“Yes, when it comes to talking about algae in the reflecting pool in DC they have time for that, but when it comes to talking about fraud in Minnesota or California, they don’t wanna talk about that,” user Eddy D replied. User Donna Patterson wrote, “Didn’t someone intentionally put algae in it? I read they arrested someone for doing it in the middle of the night.”

Someone else summed it up best by saying, “Another example of why @cnn has zero credibility and nobody watches them anymore except retired white liberal women.” A report from CNN stated that the newly renovated pool has already been hit with algae, noting this is a problem the Reflecting Pool has posed to presidents for decades.

The report then slams the president, essentially attempting to create a narrative that Trump wasted money by trying to fix the Reflecting Pool as the goal of making it clean and beautiful is one that cannot be achieved. CNN then says that it spoke with an individual who worked on the project and said it would take “an entire lifetime” to clean the pool.

Another user on X slammed the report saying, “You know it’s a slow news day when the news is testing a body of water no one swims in or drinks from.” Another user pointed out that the sample was taken incorrectly. “Ok first the correct way to take a pool water sample is elbow deep. Taken from the surface will lead to false readings,” Tony Cook responded.
