“Disgraceful and Void of Decency”: Washed Up Singer Throws a Raging Hissy Fit Over Trump’s UFC Fight

Grammy Award-winning musician and singer Sheryl Crow was not happy about the White House hosting a mixed martial arts fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), referring to the event as “disgraceful and void of decency.” Crow is seemingly unaware that progressive hero President Teddy Roosevelt used to host boxing matches inside the White House and even participated in a few of them himself.

Crow shared her thoughts about the event in a story posted on Instagram. “To stay quiet means to turn a blind eye. And so I am saying this. What happened last night on the lawn of the White House was disgraceful and void of decency,” she started her self-righteous rant. “Powerful, rich people filled the lawn to watch a violent sport that ended with a vile and racist comment.”

The “If It Makes You Happy” singer didn’t elaborate on which comment she meant, but was likely referencing a statement from UFC heavyweight Josh Hokit, who after his victory in the octagon called former first lady Michelle Obama “a man.” For the sake of clarity, that comment was not made at the end of the fight card, but smack in the middle.

According to Breitbart News, Hokit, who has the personality of an old-school WWE wrestler, said, “Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America?” UFC President Dana White, who is a Trump supporter, later denounced the comment from Hokit, calling the reiteration of the conspiracy theory after the fight as “nonsense.”

“I understand that the Obamas are public figures but I’m completely against saying nasty and false things about people’s families,” White said to Time. “Everyone knows my position on free speech but I hate that kind of nonsense.” Crow went on in her post to slam the UFC event, which was held in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, as a waste of money while Americans are struggling with affordability.

It should be noted that Crow hasn’t said a word about the billions of dollars in fraud the Trump administration has uncovered in many states across the country, which is costing taxpayers far more money than hosting a fight card at the White House. “All while the average American cannot afford healthcare, gas, and cost of living,” the singer said.

“Do not be fooled. This administration is corrupt and does not give a damn about the American people,” Crow stated, concluding, “It only cares about making money hand over fist at the expense and in spite of our democracy. If we continue to support this kind of distraction from reality, we are no better than them. Let’s be better, America.”

Sheryl Crow previously sold her Tesla vehicle and donated the cash from it to National Public Radio as a form of protest against trillionaire tech guru Elon Musk’s support for President Trump. “My parents always said… you are who you hang out with,” she said on social media. “There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long Tesla.”
