Outgoing RINO Senator Thom Tillis appears to be doing his absolute best to make himself as despised as possible by Republican voters before he leaves office at the end of this term, as now he is going on an absolute crusade against the SAVE America Act, and the Republican Senators who are working tirelessly to push the bill over the finish line.
In this latest incident, Sen. Tillis went berserk and attacked his GOP colleagues for supporting both the SAVE America Act and the president’s anti-federal weaponization fund, which will make restitution to those who have faced attacks from the federal government for their support of him or MAGA. It was created as part of a settlement deal between him and the IRS.
Doing so in a 15-paragraph missive, the Daily Caller reported, Tillis insisted that supporting the SAVE America Act and the anti-weaponization fund is a mistake that is wasting GOP time and costing them seats, ignoring that the voter ID bill is hugely popular because the public strongly supports such initiatives.
“Instead, we added weight to that albatross by having 41 members vote to protect the program. In addition, we allowed two SAVE Act votes that had no place in vote-a-rama, which prompted a circular firing squad led by Tommy Tuberville and some of our Republican colleagues,” Tillis wrote, the Daily Caller reports.
And, attacking the anti-weaponization fund, he wrote, “We missed an opportunity to remove a political albatross (the 1776 fund) from around the necks of our colleagues who are in cycle.” He added, “Instead, we added weight to that albatross by having 41 members vote to protect the program.”
He also reportedly said, “The real problem I have is that the president (and a few of our members?) forced us to take two more unsuccessful votes for the SAVE Act at the expense of our most vulnerable members in cycle”. He added, concluding the message, “The road to holding our majority is already difficult . . . We cannot afford any more unforced errors like this between now and November.”
Calling him out, Eric Daugherty wrote, “Sen. Thom Rillis (R-NC) reportedly SCOLDED Senate Republicans in a lengthy letter for pushing the SAVE America Act and floor votes, saying it’s BAD for Republicans in the midterms — Punchbowl THIS GUY IS A TOTAL TRAITOR!!”

He continued, “We have our own party OBSTRUCTING SAVE America and secure elections The paper to Republicans was apparently 15 paragraphs long. Was Tillis the GOP senator who privately wanted @BasedMikeLee to stop pushing SAVE America? If it PASSED, SAVE is actually good for the GOP. It’s common sense!”
Similarly, Sen. Tommy Tuberville wrote, “It is beyond EMBARRASSING that “Republicans” continue to block the SAVE America Act.@SenThomTillis, @LisaMurkowski, @SenMcConnell, and @SenatorCollins
have not only betrayed their constituents — they are ACCOMPLICES in Democrats’ “Illegals First” agenda. The people of North Carolina, Alaska, Kentucky, and Maine deserve better.”
Others sounded off as well. In response to one post about the letter that went viral, commenters said things like “There is a reason Tillis isn’t going to be a senator come January. Tillis is despised by Republican voters. Any GOP senator who listens to Tillis deserves to lose in November,” “Why would forcing a vote on the SAVE act which would require voter ID (something that like 75% of the population approved of) be an “albatross” around their neck?? Doesn’t make any sense at all. Why are these career politician criminals opposed to voter id so bad?”, and “@SenThomTillis I am grateful that you are not running for re-election because you are a complete RINO. Who, in their right mind would not support the SAVE act? Look at what just happened in California? That alone should constitute complete support for voter ID, so why are you opposing it? My guess is you are being paid off or you have many skeletons in your closet.”
Similarly, others said things like “He’s such a despicable lowlife! All the way back in 2019 when he said there was no border emergency that should have been the end. But he flip flopped because he wanted desperately to win reelection and Trump endorsed him.. that was a mistake” and “You gotta love the dead man walking pols who show you exactly why you wanted them out. This guy Tillis is a through and through RINO establishment Beltway First pol. No one will miss him. 🤣”
