Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) dropped a whole lot of foul language in a viral video clip currently making its way across social media, while attempting to defend her work on Cuba and Venezuela. In the clip, the question that led to the outburst is not audible and the recording suddenly cuts off. “I don’t appreciate being told we’re not doing enough when I f***ing voted on two war resolutions this week,” Dinglle says in response to the question that was asked.
“And I’m going to tell you that people like me are standing up and saying what he’s doing in Cuba is wrong,” Dingell went on to say in the footage. She then added, “you f***ing elected a Republican Congress in this state.” Her whining concerning a measure that stalled tracks with recent action in the House of Representatives.
Members shot down H.Con.Res.61, a resolution that would have removed U.S. military forces from conflicts with designated terrorist groups located in the Western Hemisphere, by a vote of 216 to 210, according to information released by Responsible Statecraft. The measure was created to stop Trump administration strikes around the Caribbean.
According to a report from The Daily Caller, this isn’t the first time Dingell has made a spectacle of herself. She also went viral in a video from May 2025 that showed her taking a power nap during a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing, though she attempted to defend herself by claiming to have been up for 31 hours straight in a battle against GOP efforts on Medicaid.
Dingell has served in the House since 2015 and has represented the 6th District since 2023. The X post of the video features a rather lively comment section, with many people expressing how tired they are of the lack of professionalism from politicians who swear and use foul language in everyday speech. “Democrats have nothing but contempt for their base. And why shouldn’t they?” one user wrote in response to the clip.
“She failed to mention that Democrats stand in the way of any progress that can be made in this country. They have zero policies except obstruct Congress and get Trump. It’s really sad because they did this for four years and we got Biden because they had zero policies to run on,” another individual said in the comment section.
“It is the new Democrat thing… they can not form a sentence without the F-word. They must think it is a sign of strength. But it is just the opposite. It is a terrible weakness on their part and they use it to make them appear riled or tough. Debbie Dingell is a full blooded card carrying grade A first class thoroughbred lunatic,” user JD Sanders replied.

We’re probably the only country in the world that would invite a congresswoman like the aptly named, Debbie Dingle to dinner only to have to meet her at the door first to request she watch her language in front of the kids,” user Ray Wright wrote in his response to the viral clip.
