Conservative commentator Greg Gutfeld completely obliterated fellow “The Five” co-host Jessica Tarlov, a Democrat who truly bleeds blue, on a heated segment of the program after Tarlov claimed that President Donald Trump got rich after becoming president through buying and selling stocks, comparing him to Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) who seemingly amassed wealth from alleged insider trading.
In a viral clip of the exchange being passed around social media platform X, Tarlov said, “Let’s talk, you talk about Donald Trump. He made $3 billion last year.” She then said that President Trump made more money this past year than he did when he was out of office. Gutfeld interjected and pointed out that he was wealthy before he ever took office.
“I know this is going to blow your mind. He was a BILLIONAIRE and a businessman before he was president, unlike Obama! […] A DEMOCRAT gets into power and then GETS rich. Trump WAS rich before he got there and he’s actually making LESS money!” Gutfeld exclaimed. Tarlov then accused the president of “selling us out to people for the highest bidder” claiming there is a “for sale sign on the White House.”
Another co-host for the program then jumped in saying, “you hear that Vice President was talking about yesterday, which was, we can work with states, let’s try to work with Democrats and governors and whatever to try to go after this, because everybody agrees there is fraud within the system that would save everybody money if you get it under control. So, I think we need to talk about –”
Tarlov interjected and stated, “I’m cool with that. I said Tim Walz was in trouble for this. You should weed out the fraud, but we, just, I mean, we just saw that Donald Trump in Q1 (first quarter of the fiscal year) made at least $220 million of purchases in stocks, Paramount, Netflix, Warner Brothers, Palantir…he should not be allowed to do that.”
She then brought up the criticism conservatives leveled at Pelosi during the COVID-19 pandemic when she showed off a drawer full of expensive Gelato and acted as if she was really suffering along with the rest of the country, saying, “You want to talk about Nancy Pelosi’s Gelato drawer, but you don’t care what’s going on?”
The panel then discusses the difficulties Congress is having on getting some sort of legislation passed to prevent those serving in both chambers from engaging in insider trading and profiting off information not made to the public in order to get rich off the purchase and sale of stocks. Later, Gutfeld scolds Tarlov, again noting that Trump is actually making less money now as the president.

“So your obsession over his profiting is a delusion,” Gutfeld told his leftist colleague. “You say here’s how they’re profiting. Then you switch to his foreign policy priority, where he’s saying Iran is more important right now than the gas prices. That was your justification. Then you move that it was so convoluted. Look, libs have obsessions over things like ballrooms, where taxpayers aren’t paying for it, meanwhile, as Jesse points out, and I got to make this clear, because this is going to come back. There is a pattern of abuse, and it is relentless.”
“You mentioned Minnesota, the California hospice scam. You have the ghost, what do you call them, the ghost company fraud in Ohio, but the one that is going to blow your mind is that he’s the Jenga piece, and all of this, the GAO reports what, $3 trillion in improper payments, $3 trillion since 2003 because of weak controls over entitlement programs, Medicaid and Medicare,” Gutfeld continued.
And he wasn’t done there. “Now you know why they circle their wagons whenever you approach, and you say, “You know what? Can we look at this? They call you a fascist. You’re trying to starve people, you’re trying to take money out of their health care. No, they’re protecting their profit. It’s not about people. Republicans have to go hard on these issues, because these are the issues they won on, and it’s not finished by a long shot. You look how the Democrats lied about the border, trans, obviously fraud, crime, and President Biden,” he said.
He then explains that what the Trump administration has done so far concerning fraud is just “overturning the rock” and that alone has caused liberals to go off the deep end. Gutfeld then says that Republicans need to be given the room to finish the job and eliminate the fraud and clean out the rot or it is just going to keep coming back.
