President Donald J Trump fired back with vengeance at the New York Times after it clutched its pearls over his administration’s efforts to dump Deep State hacks embedded throughout the federal bureaucracy. The president, defending what critics contend are “purges”, claimed that he is firing and pushing out those who have been destroying America.
As background, President Trump’s first term was characterized in large part by radical agents of the Deep State within the bureaucracy doing everything in their power to try to stop the president from implementing the MAGA agenda, particularly in the realm of foreign policy regarding Russia and Afghanistan.
Since then, the president has evidently learned his lesson, as he has taken a wrecking ball to the federal bureaucracy this term, and the Trump Administration has so far eliminated well over 300,000 positions from the federal workforce, using a mix of firings, layoffs, and encouraging retirements to slim down the workforce.
So, the usual defenders of bureaucracy and the like have been freaking out about that, and have been accusing him of all manner of things, from purging dissidents to filling the bureaucracy with lower-tier workers as the talented ones leave. The president roundly rejected those unfair talking points in a post on Truth Social.
Beginning the post, the president argued that what the New York Times hacks are framing as being a disastrously bad thing is actually quite good for America. Putting that bluntly, he said, “The New York Times wrote a story today entitled, ‘Trump Administration Sees Striking Exodus of Legal Talent,’ as though that’s a bad thing, when actually, it’s very good.”
Continuing, the president explained to America why it is a good thing for those armies of self-important “civil servants” to be leaving, noting that they were far-left bureaucrats who had put America’s future at risk and had weaponized their positions to try to attack the right. He said, “The people that are leaving are Radical Left Deep State Lunatics, who are destroying our Country, and Weaponizing Government. Many of them didn’t leave, but were fired!”
Still not done, the president further emphasized why the trend is such a good one, explaining that it is great that those who have been acting against America’s interests to finally be departing the federal bureaucracy. He said, “The Failing New York Times writes this, but makes it sound like it’s a terrible thing when actually, it’s just the opposite. We want people that will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, not people that are trying to destroy our Country”!

Still not done, the president emphasized that those who have been laid off, fired, or forced out have been the very sort of people who should not have been allowed to have anything to do with America in the first place. He noted that they “were put in by Obama and Biden and, in many cases, they shouldn’t have been representing the U.S.A. in the first place.”
Concluding, the president then joked about their future careers as he signed off, obviously knowing that many of the deep state hacks who have left will have trouble finding good and cushy jobs of the same sort. He said, “Let them go on to “bigger, better, and brighter” things in the future — I fully support that, and wish them all well! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
