House Republicans in the state of Minnesota are now demanding that a Democratic lawmaker be booted from her seat as tax chair after she had a complete and total mental meltdown and told another GOP lawmaker to go kill himself. The nasty exchange took place after Democrats were unsuccessful in their attempt to trample the Second Amendment rights of Minnesotans through the passage of a gun violence package during a vote.
The Democrat in question, Rep. Aisha Gomez, was caught on video throwing a temper tantrum, screaming at the top of her lungs at Republican Rep. Elliott Engen of Lino Lakes. Fellow Republican Drew Roach posted the video on social media, stating that modern-day Democrats have come completely unglued in the current political climate.
Engen then reposted the footage on his own social media accounts, stating that he can confirm that several Democrat colleagues not-so-kindly told him to go shoot himself. Some conservatives pointed out the irony of telling someone to go shoot themselves after failing to pass gun control legislation, noting the left is often oblivious to their own hypocrisy.
According to local media outlet KFGO, Republican leadership is now demanding that Democratic Gov. Tim Walz come out and condemn the horrific words spoken by Gomez and others following the bill’s failure. Minnesota Speaker of the House Lisa Demuth, along with Senate Leader Harry Niska, put out a statement addressing the incident.
“This kind of behavior is unacceptable and it makes every person in this place less safe,” Demuth explained. “Someone willing to spew hate and accost colleagues is unfit to serve as a leader in Minnesota.” Niska added, “After the horrible tragedies we’ve had in Minnesota over the last year, it is sickening that an elected official would think it’s acceptable to say the things we heard tonight,” said Niska. “We had just heard hours of debate and heartbreaking stories of loss and violence.”
“To respond to that with threats and hate is unconscionable and unacceptable,” he added. Niska was referencing the assassination of conservative activist and icon Charlie Kirk, who was killed by a radical left-wing transgender activist during an event at Utah Valley University. Kirk was well-known for his civil demeanor, respect toward those with opposing views, and allowing leftists to have a platform to articulate their own views.
A video clip of the incident involving Gomez and Engen is making the rounds on social media platform X, garnering strong reactions from users. One individual wrote, “Democrats are mentally unstable, making them dangerous to the average person.” Another individual mocked Gomez, comparing her actions to those of an angry two-year-old, saying, “Wow, she just had a complete two-year-old temper tantrum.”

Other users were far more vicious, with one, John Doe, writing, “This fat, dirty, stanky HO needs to be removed for that. Like b***h, go eat a case of Ho-Hos and shut the f**k up.” Another responded to the clip, writing, “She’ll go eat a dozen doughnuts and drink a box of wine to cope, alone with her ten cats.” Another user summed up Gomez’s fit by saying, “OMG, it’s like Jr. high school.”
