Things got wild on CNN on Thursday, April 30, as panelists went ballistic over America’s Operation Epic Fury against Iran, a ballistic meltdown that culminated in conservative CNN panelist Scott Jennings and content creator Adam Mockler shouting at each other on air as Abby Phillips tried to calm them down.
The on-air feud began with failed Democratic congressional candidate Kat Abughazaleh claiming that the United States was the aggressor, which led to Jennings pointing out the obvious absurdity of only viewing events through the prism of the past few weeks rather than decades of aggression against America.
Making that point, Jennings said, “Did all of U.S. history exist before the last eight weeks to you, or just eight weeks? I mean, honestly, they have been at war with us for 47 years.” Such is an argument that many in favor of the operation have made, pointing to the hostage crisis in 1979 and all that has come from it since to argue in favor of the operation.
That led to Mockler chiming in and mocking Jennings, saying, “We all know that Scott Jennings is more than happy to defend a war with a country that starts with the letter IRA, that we are currently failing, that is going to put us trillions and trillions of dollars more in debt.”
Continuing, Mockler claimed that Jennings is hypocritical because he was against past interventions but isn’t particularly against this one, saying, “I was only a few years old while you were in the administration defending prior endless wars. Now, this war is failing.” Jennings shot back, “Eight weeks is endless to you?” Sparring with him, Mockler snapped, “Okay. You said it was going to be six weeks.”
The two then kept arguing, with Jennings mocking Mockler’s short attention span and joking that Mockler was “hyper” because it was after his “bedtime,” while Mockler demanded that he explain what concessions America has gotten out of Iran with the conflict. Then, as Mockler waved his hand around, Jennings snapped, “Get your hand out of my f*cking face!”
That led the host, Abby Phillip, to step in and say, “Hey, whoa!” Jennings, heated, replied, “Honestly, I’m not going to have this guy’s hand in my face. Honestly.” Phillips then insisted he calm down and rebut Mockler, saying, “No, everybody calm down, okay? We’re having a debate. You can respond to the points that he’s making.”

Watch them here:
Trump, for his part, has insisted that Iran’s ongoing internal political issues have made it difficult for the state to negotiate, saying, “Iran is having a very hard time figuring out who their leader is! They just don’t know! The infighting is between the “Hardliners,” who have been losing BADLY on the battlefield, and the “Moderates,” who are not very moderate at all (but gaining respect!), is CRAZY! We have total control over the Strait of Hormuz. No ship can enter or leave without the approval of the United States Navy. It is “Sealed up Tight,” until such time as Iran is able to make a DEAL!!!”
