Just days after a third assassination attempt on President Donald Trump’s life during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the official X account for the White House took Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) to task for her deranged and violence-fueling rhetoric as part of what is driving so many radical leftists to attempt killing those they disagree with politically.
In the post, they shared a video of Crockett during a podcast interview that illustrated their point. In the clip, Crockett goes off the deep end and slams both Republicans as a whole and Trump in particular, referring to him at one point as a “wannabe dictator.” The Texas Democrat told the podcast host, “It’s not each other that’s the problem. It’s the other side. It’s the fascists.”
“It’s the wannabe dictator. It is, you know, the hater-in-chief. It is the racist-in-chief,” she added. The clip also features several other prominent left-wing figures employing the use of rhetoric that could easily inspire those who are mentally unstable to take violent action against the president and conservatives in general. One guest on the Bryan Tyler Cohen program called for “heads to roll.”
“Heads do need to roll,” the guest said, adding, “Certainly within the administration.” Former CNN host Don Lemon is the next to be featured in the video, where he said, “and now the GOP needs to be burned to the ground.” Another individual pops up after Lemon’s comment referring to the president and his administration as an “existential threat” to the country and referring to conservatives in the GOP as being extreme.
According to Yahoo News, Crockett made a pair of responses to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner incident that conflicted in tone. In a post published on her official X account, she wrote, “The political violence is unacceptable and must stop. I am grateful that everyone attending tonight’s WHCD is safe.” However, the post she made on the Threads account for Jasmine For US questioned if the event was fake.
“Has there ever been a president have this many close ‘attempts’ on their life? Maybe it’s lax gun laws, maybe it’s lack of mental health funding, or maybe it’s fake… who knows,” the post read. Fox News reached out to Crockett’s office to get an official statement clarifying the disparity between the remarks, but has not received a response.
The shooting, perpetrated by Cole Tomas Allen, 31, was captured on video. Allen barged through a security checkpoint at the Washington Hilton Hotel and promptly shot a Secret Service agent in the chest. Thankfully, he was wearing a bulletproof vest and will recover from his injuries. Once taken into custody, authorities found Allen in possession of a handgun, a shotgun, and several knives.

According to his manifesto, Allen was planning to take out members of Trump’s administration, along with the president himself. He has officially been charged with attempting to assassinate the president, transporting a firearm and ammunition in interstate commerce with the intent to commit a felony, and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence.
