WATCH: GOP Senator Skewers MSNBC Host So Hard that She Totally Melts Down, Starts Yelling While Waving Her Hands Wildly as He Chuckles

NBC host Kristen Welker got into a hot and heavy verbal sparring match with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) which resulted in Graham coming out swinging for the fences and caused Welker to have a total meltdown on live television. A video clip of the exchange has resurfaced on social media platform X and is once again going viral.

The conversation kicks off with Welker asking Graham if he believes President Donald Trump tasking the Justice Department with looking into individuals who attempted to prosecute him while he was running his presidential campaign crosses a line by impeding on the independence of the agency. “You think that crosses a line between the Justice Department being independent from the executive branch?” Welker asked.

“I think the Justice Department, in the hands of Biden, crossed every line there is to cross. I think within three days of announcing he was going to run for president in 2024, he did that in 2020 –” Graham started to respond before being interrupted by an already seemingly frantic Welker, who asked the senator, “What about Trump?”

Graham didn’t miss a beat. “Now, I think the grand jury is going to take care of this,” the South Carolina Republican said, going on to rip into Welker and the mainstream media, adding, “But you didn’t care any about this. You didn’t care that Letitia James made up charges that no one’s ever faced.” Before he could continue his response, Welker interrupted again, talking over him again, about Trump, her eyes wide as she continued to raise her voice.

“Well, Biden regretted that they didn’t do it for the election,” Graham said, speaking on liberal Democrats indicting the president during his campaign. “Jack Smith surveilled my phone records and eight other senators. Jack Smith introduced his brief against Trump on October 24 before the 2024 election, violating every protocol just to politicize the election.”

Graham’s swan song, the final line he said to Welker, was pure gold. “So this may bother you that people are being held accountable. It doesn’t bother me one damn bit,” the senator concluded. The post sharing the clip was replete with comments from conservatives who loved the way Graham handled the exchange and celebrated Republicans fighting back against biased media.

“Republicans are finally, FINALLY, fighting back. It’s about time and the Democrats as well as the biased mainstream media are crapping out stones in fear,” one user replied. Another individual slammed the NBC anchor, writing, “Each Sunday, Kristen Welker proves her ignorance and bias.” A third commenter wisecracked, “Oh, crap. Now I agree with Lindsey Graham. Means the zombie apocalypse is coming.”

Someone else wrote, “Exactly, accountability isn’t selective. Graham’s point: some are finally facing consequences, and the media can’t handle it.” Another user said, “It doesn’t bother us either that people are being held accountable for REALLY breaking the law not on made up charges because someone campaigned on prosecuting Trump with no evidence!” One individual, not a fan of Graham’s, said he “should be thrown out with the trash” but admitted that “every now and then he says something worth hearing.”
