Things got very entertaining as Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary RFK Jr. appeared before the House on Friday, April 17 for his third of seven back-to-back hearings in front of Congress as he tries to push an HHS budget through, as he repeatedly and vociferously destroyed the Democrats who tried to grandstand and attack him, which made the hearing hilarious.
For reference, this hearing and set of contentious exchanges came when he appeared before the House Committee on Education & Workforce for a hearing titled “Examining the Policies and Priorities of the Department of Health and Human Services”.
During the series of verbal battles that composed most of the hearing, RFK Jr. had to do everything from roasting a Democrat who thought gang-connected gun violence should be regulated by HHS to exposing how those who are losing their insurance are illegal aliens, not Americans.
One of the funniest moments came when Rep. Lucy McBath (D-GA) started berating Secretary Kennedy for his stance on gun violence. She asked, “Do you believe that gun violence is an epidemic or a public health crisis?”
Responding, Secretary Kennedy argued that it is a matter that law enforcement should be handling, not the Department of Health and Human Services, as it is a fundamentally law enforcement-connected issue. He said, “I would say it’s an epidemic. I think it’s a law enforcement issue though and not public health.”
That set her off. The far-left Georgia Democrat angrily denounced him for thinking crime is a matter that should be handled like crime rather than measles, saying, “I find it kind of absurd to hear you say that. I really do.” Responding with a glorious one-liner, Secretary Kennedy said, “You think I should be regulating gangs at HHS?” Watch that here:

Another very viral and very entertaining moment came when the HHS Secretary battled with Congressman Greg Casar (D-TX) over who has lost Obamacare access. The Democrat tried berating him for booting Americans off of the program, but RFK Jr. wittily and pithily responded that pretty much everyone who has lost coverage is an illegal alien.
That exchange came when Rep. Casar angrily asked him, “Have you met with any of the 1.4 million people who have lost their health insurance just this last year from dropping off of Obamacare?” Responding, the HHS Secretary shot back, “They’re almost all illegal immigrants.”

That commentary was denounced by a leftist non-profit, which angrily declared, “Pathetically, RFK Jr. lied through his teeth that the over million Americans who have so far lost their health care under the Trump-GOP Big Ugly cuts were only undocumented immigrants, except for that minor detail that all undocumented immigrants are explicitly excluded by law from ACA coverage, Medicaid, and Medicare. Pretending the thousands of Americans losing their coverage every day thanks to Donald Trump don’t exist won’t make them go away or lower anyone’s costs.”
In any case, in still another moment during the absurd hearing, far-left Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) angrily denounced RFK Jr. while screaming at him at the top of her lungs and waving around a piece of paper, sparking a Republican on the panel to joke, regarding her motives, “hopefully it’ll go viral for her.” Watch it here:
