Speaking on Friday, April 10, during a left-wing activist conference in New York City called the National Action Network convention, former Vice President and failed 2024 presidential candidate Kamala Harris tried to mock President Donald Trump with a confusing and cringe-inducing impersonation attempt.
That came as Harris, who is generally known for both her word salads and her flubs of important speeches–such as when she messed up the Pledge of Allegiance while presiding over the US Senate as Vice President–spoke to far-left activist and has-been political commentator Al Sharpton at the conference.
During it, Harris told Sharpton that President Donald Trump is “a mob boss”. That then led to her delivering an utterly cringe-inducing attempt of Kamala Harris to imitate President Trump. It was during that already awkward spectacle that the former VP broke out her bizarre new accent.
Beginning her commentary on President Trump, former VP Harris said, “Well, he’s pulled back because, you know, the way that he’s thinking of foreign policy, it seems, is when he talks about America first, it’s to withdraw from these relationships and these connections and then he kind of, Rev, acts like a mob boss.”
That is when Kamala broke out her attempt to imitate President Trump. Sounding nothing at all like him and smearing his foreign policy accomplishments while doing her best to imitate a mob boss, Harris said, “So then he’s kind of like, ‘Well, you know, you take Eastern Europe, I’ll take the Western Hemisphere, and then you over there, you get Asia, and we’ll just divide it up.’”
Adding to that, the former VP then said that President Trump is diminishing American leadership abroad, saying, “Right? Instead of understanding historically, America has always been about our global leadership, imperfect though we have been.”

In response to a post about the ridiculous imitation attempt that went viral on X, commenters sounded off on Harris with a vengeance. “How is it possible that this is her best Trump impression? What the hell is this? No wonder she never became President. She can’t even mentally conceptualize how to imitate Trump,” one said.
Others chimed in with even more of a vengeance, saying things like “This isn’t even a Trump impression, it’s a ‘suburban mom who just finished her fourth glass of Chardonnay’ impression” and “She gave that speech as the Border Czar to all the migrants about America. ‘You Mexicans take CA, you Haitians take Ohio, Somalians with my gay best friend Tim Walz.'”
Others said, “Every time I’m down on Trump they parade this buffoon around,” “Is this new? Why? She run out of wine? Do midtermers want her anywhere near their campaigns?,” “Every time I’m down on Trump they parade this buffoon around,” and “It is incredible to me that you guys ALMOST had this at the helm of our country. She can’t even do the easiest impression right.”
