“She Was Screaming”: Brandon Gill Tells Very Funny Story about Triggering Ilhan Omar into the Stratosphere on the Floor of Congress

Republicans in the Lone Star State of Texas are ramping up their efforts to battle illegal immigration, with Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) leading the way. Gill sat down for a conversation with BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales, who is pumped by his efforts, but also understands that Texas still has a long way to go. “Texas is kind of under siege right now,” the host said to Gill during the interview.

“It is, and at this point, I believe we have 42 members of Congress in the Sharia-Free America Caucus. So it’s growing rapidly. We’re adding new members every single day,” Gill explained. He then went on to tell Gonzales just how big the problem Texas is facing truly is, pointing out that it is the duty of every elected representative to provide a solution to it.

“This is a big issue. It’s not going away anytime soon. And it’s our job as elected representatives to address it — and address it in a candid and straightforward way, which is to say that there are cultural incompatibilities here that we need to be aware of,” he told Gonzales. Gill then stated that the immigration system needs to reflect these incompatibilities and that the U.S. needs to determine who can enter the country.

“I think our immigration system needs to reflect these, and I think we need to be determining who comes into our country. And we need to protect our culture,” he said, noting that immigration is an issue that rubs shoulders with everything else. “It touches the quality of schools, the quality of health care, the cost of living, the cost of housing. I mean everything,” he added, according to Blaze Media.

The report revealed that Gill was one of the key players behind the Somalia Immigration Moratorium Act, which places a 25-year moratorium on immigrants being let into the U.S. from Somalia. The Texas congressman’s take on immigration hasn’t made many friends on the Democratic side of the aisle, but one individual in particular carries a strong distaste for him: Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

“Does Ilhan Omar give you the stink eye whenever she sees you?” Gonzales asked the Texas Republican. “Usually it’s much worse than that. I was giving a speech on the House floor about this bill in particular. And she was in the audience, and she was screaming. I could barely hear what she was saying, but she was … calling me names and all kinds of stuff,” he replied.

So she’s not a big fan of me, I will say,” he added. While Omar might not care much for Gill, the same cannot be said for conservatives in Texas. One YouTube user commented on a video of the interview, saying, “Texas needs more politicians like Congressman Gill.” Another agreed, writing, “Deport, deport, deport. Boy we sure need more like Gill.”
