“Everybody”: New Attorney General Gives Epic Response When Asked about Who He’s Targeting in Crackdown on Fraud [WATCH]

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche held a press conference on April 7, 2026, revealing several key details about the Justice Department’s newly created National Fraud Enforcement Division. During the presser, Blanche explained the goal of the division, saying, “Our vision is to build a robust fraud-fighting squad capable of investigating and prosecuting the full spectrum of fraud against taxpayer dollars.”

Blanche then told the media that the new division will be stacked with some of the “best prosecutors” in the DOJ, including individuals with expertise in the fields of health care, tax, benefits, and corporate fraud. “There will be an additional 93 prosecutors in every district across the country devoted to the mission of combating fraud,” Blanche said.

In a viral clip taken from the press conference, a reporter asked Blanche, “What are you doing to clamp down on [hospice fraud]. Who exactly are you targeting? Doctors? Owners?” The acting attorney general answered, “Yes, exactly. I mean, everywhere that participates in, I mean you see that fraud, the question was about hospice fraud and that’s the purest form of stealing from the American people’s pockets.”

“That is a lot of money designed to help the most vulnerable among us,” he continued, adding, “And so, you know, who are we prosecuting? Depends on who’s committed the crime. If it’s the doctor, it’s the doctor. If it’s the hospital organization itself, fine. If it’s the families of the patient, fine.” According to NewsNation, Blanche also commented about the firing of his former boss, Pam Bondi.

The acting attorney general clarified that he has no idea why Bondi was booted from her position, noting that only President Donald Trump knows the real reason. Blanche also praised Bondi for “her commitment to justice.” He then revealed that despite being removed as the attorney general, Bondi is still working with him and stated the two are attending an event together this week.

Blanche went on to credit the president’s leadership with “supercharging efforts to take down every fraudster and bring them to justice.” Trump has made ending fraud in the country a federal priority. In January 2026, the president signed an executive order to create the new fraud enforcement division at the Justice Department.

In March, President Trump signed another order that created an anti-fraud task force led by Vice President JD Vance. Just a week ago, federal authorities arrested eight people who were involved in various health care fraud schemes that siphoned $50 million in the Los Angeles area. Users on social media platform X were excited to see Blanche ready to tackle the rampant fraud problem in the U.S.

“Looking forward to seeing convictions for all involved in hospice fraud,” one user stated in a reply to the viral video of Blanche. Another was glad to see someone else in charge of the DOJ, writing, “Now that Bondi is out of the way, we might actually get somewhere.” A third wasn’t impressed with the rhetoric, hoping for action to be taken. “Prosecutions, Jail sentences. Recovery of stolen taxpayer dollars. I don’t care what anyone says about priorities and what they’re going to do, I care about whether they do it,” the person wrote.
