During the partial Department of Homeland Security shutdown that created massive TSA backlogs, with ICE officers called in to help ease the chaos, CNN’s Scott Jennings challenged liberal guest Miles Taylor by asking whether any ICE action had backfired in the previous 24 hours. The question immediately triggered Taylor into a furious tirade about an agent who refused to show identification while detaining a crying woman at San Francisco Airport, claiming it was “freaking people out.”
The most intense exchange came when Jennings pushed for details: “What kind of interaction was it? Who did they arrest?” Taylor confessed he had no idea and completely unraveled. The widely shared video captured ICE officers handcuffing a Guatemalan national who had received a final deportation order and tried to run, all around 10 p.m. on March 22 inside SFO’s Terminal 3.
In any case, the fiery on-air clash that left the leftist guest exposed began when Scott Jennings opened the segment with a sharp challenge. “Is there a single report today of something going awry with ICE agents for 24 hours? Something?”
The question sent the liberal guest into an immediate spiral of sputtering outrage. His cool evaporated as he launched into an angry rant about recent ICE arrests of illegal aliens, snapping back, “[What about the] ICE agent refusing to identify himself, arresting a woman in an airport, freaking people out. They weren’t even sure [why the agent was] in the San Francisco Airport.”
Jennings cut in, “What kind of interaction was it actually?” The visibly triggered guest shot back, “You know the situation. It was an arrest. I don’t know.” When Jennings followed up with “Who did they arrest?” the partisan liberal lost it entirely, descending into full hysterics and abandoning any remaining composure over the scene.

The confrontation unfolded inside Terminal 3. Predictably, the leftist bystanders erupted, with several passengers crowding the officers, shouting, and filming every move. The illegal immigrant woman and her young daughter both cried while one onlooker screamed, “This is un-American!” and another demanded, “What is your badge number? What is your name?”

Before the viral airport takedown that Taylor referenced on CNN, President Trump had already outlined his strategy on Truth Social. “If the Radical Left Democrats don’t immediately sign an agreement to let our Country, in particular, our Airports, be FREE and SAFE again, I will move our brilliant and patriotic ICE Agents to the Airports where they will do Security like no one has ever seen before, including the immediate arrest of all Illegal Immigrants who have come into our Country…”

On CNN, former ICE Director Tom Homan laid out the operational reality: “ICE agents receive a high level of training, and you know, the ICE agents are [already stationed at many] airports across the country already.” He added that they would initially focus on key tasks, noting that TSA currently covers exits and that “certainly a highly trained ICE law enforcement officer can cover an exit, makes people not go through those exits into an airport, through the exits.”
