George Soros-Backed NGO Caught illegally Blocking Republicans from Voting

A video clip taken from an encounter at a No Kings rally on March 28, 2026, is going viral on social media, as it shows members of a tax-exempt nonprofit organization called Indivisible, allegedly telling someone who wanted to register to vote as a Republican they didn’t have any GOP forms, blocking the individual from being able to complete their registration.

This has led to calls from Republicans to strip Indivisible, a group funded by billionaire leftist George Soros, of its tax-exempt status. According to Washington state law, party affiliation is not required to register to vote, so this makes the statement from the worker at the booth in the video factually inaccurate and possibly misleading. The group itself claims its actions are in line with non-partisan voter outreach efforts.

However, many conservatives believe it was a purposeful deception on the part of the worker, accusing her of attempting to prevent a potential Republican voter from registering. Evidence reported by numerous media outlets that foundations founded by Soros are the ones supplying folks with the cash needed to hold No Kings rallies and events.

According to Fox News, the Open Society Foundations organization, founded by Soros, handed Indivisible a grant for $3 million in 2023. The purpose of the grant was to “support the grantee’s social welfare activities,” according to its official website. Indivisible is in charge of “data and communications with participants” in the No Kings protests that have been taking place across the country.

Back in 2017, Indivisible received a $350,000 grant from Tides Advocacy, a group that has deep ties to the Tides Network, which has been accused of funding anti-Israel campus riots in the past. In total, the Open Society Foundations have awarded a staggering $7.61 million in grants to various groups who have organized the No Kings protests.

“We support a wide range of independent organizations that work to deepen civic engagement through peaceful democratic participation, a hallmark of any vibrant society and a right protected by the Constitution,” a spokesperson for the Open Society Foundations said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Our grantees make their own decisions about their work, consistent with the law and the terms of their grant agreements.”

The post featuring the video garnered strong reactions from users on social media. One individual noted the voter registration laws in Washington, saying, “We don’t have to affiliate with a single party to register to vote in WA state.” Another stated, “Tax-exempt status is a privilege, not a right. If Indivisible is caught illegally blocking Republicans from registering to vote, they should lose it immediately. Nonprofits aren’t allowed to play partisan gatekeeper. Time to hold them accountable.”

A third commenter noted a similar incident in San Diego, California, that resulted in her not being registered to vote when she went to cast her ballot at the polls. “At least they were upfront about their intentions. I registered in front of a Target in San Diego years ago. Put R on form – I saw her place in on the very bottom from a few others. Went to vote & I wasn’t registered. Just a primary so I fixed it before general,” the post said.
