Tim Walz’s Minnesota Rocked by Massive New DOJ Lawsuit

The Trump administration’s DOJ sued Minnesota on March 30, 2026, alleging the state’s policies allowing transgender girls in women’s sports and facilities violate Title IX by creating unfair competition, denying equal opportunities to female athletes, and exposing them to injury and harm in locker rooms.

For context, the 45-page suit aims to force compliance with Trump’s executive orders, potentially cutting billions in federal education and HHS funding to the state. AG Pam Bondi emphasized the need to acknowledge “biological reality” to protect girls.

Freaking out, woke MN AG Keith Ellison dismissed it as a distraction from Trump’s other issues and vowed to fight, calling it harassment of vulnerable children. Minnesota had preemptively sued the administration in April 2025.

The lawsuit argued that current Minnesota laws “create unfair competition, deny girls equal educational opportunities, and expose girls to a hostile educational environment with heightened risks of physical injury and psychological harm.”

Taking to social media, Attorney General Pam Bondi stated, “This DOJ acknowledges biological reality and we refuse to let high school girls be subjected to this treatment. It’s not only unfair — it’s deeply inappropriate and dangerous.”

The suit noted, “The United States files this action to stop Minnesota’s unapologetic sex discrimination against female student athletes, but Minnesota casts this aside in favor of so-called ‘gender identity,’ a choice that elevates ideology over biology, fairness, and safety.”

Reacting, Ellison alleged, “Donald Trump is currently facing an unpopular war that he launched, rising gas prices, massive health insurance price hikes, and a partial government shutdown caused in part by his ICE agents killing two Minnesotans in broad daylight. It is astonishing that any president would try to target, shame, and harass children just trying to be themselves, let alone a president with so many actual problems to address.”

“In April of last year, I sued the Trump administration to stop them from targeting trans kids who just want to play on their school team. This new suit is just a sad attempt to get attention over something that’s already been in litigation for months. I will continue to stand up to the Trump administration and do everything in my power to stop them from bullying vulnerable children in Minnesota,” he claimed.

In his initial suit from last year, Ellison whined, “Trump’s unconscionable attack on this small number of vulnerable children is bullying, plain and simple. His burning desire to destroy trans kids and punish us for helping them live and thrive isn’t just a violation of the law — it’s a violation of Minnesota values.”

“I’ve been around my share of bullies in my life, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you don’t give bullies an inch. We’re not going to cave at the expense of trans kids — or any vulnerable community that needs our compassion and protection,” the slimy AG added.

Concluding his initial comments, Ellison stated, “These are the moments when you have to say ‘no’ — especially if the community the leader wants to destroy is children just trying to live their lives. We’re in that moment right now in America. I have the power to say ‘no.” Today, I’m using it.”
