ICE Agents Save the Life of 4-Year-Old Boy in Incredible Hotel Rescue

Flying in the face of the left-wing mainstream media narrative of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers being cruel, mean, and heartless, a group of agents are now being recognized by the Department of Homeland Security for their heroic efforts in saving the life of a 4-year-old boy who fell into a hotel poll and drowned.

On February 20, 2026, a few off-duty ICE agents were grabbing a bite to eat at a local restaurant in Plymouth, Minnesota when their meal was interrupted by a woman stricken by panic and looking desperately for assistance for a 4-year-old child who was unresponsive from drowning in a hotel swimming pool. Agents wasted no time in responding, performing CPR on the young boy for several minutes.

Local law enforcement and Emergency Medical Services showed up on the scene shortly thereafter and took the boy to a local medical center for further care. The lifesaving care and quick thinking of the ICE agents led to the child regaining consciousness and soon became alert. A written letter of recognition from the Plymouth Police Department was sent to ICE, commending the agents for their actions and professionalism during the incident.

According to a post published on the DHS website, Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis went on to say, “I want to take a moment to commend the heroism and swift action taken by these agents to save the life of a sweet, innocent child. If our agents had not been there and stepped up, this would have been a tragic outcome.”

“Because of their training, these two agents were able to save a life. Our agents are the best of the best. Every single day they put their lives on the line to save American lives. President Trump and Secretary Noem will always stand with our law enforcement. If you see a law enforcement officer today, thank them for their service,” Bis continued.

A report from Fox 9 contained further details surrounding the terrifying situation the ICE agents found themselves suddenly thrust into. The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that its deputies responded to a call concerning a potential drowning at the Ramada Inn in Plymoth at 8:30 p.m. The child was already on his way to the local medical center when they arrived.

The Plymouth Police Department released a statement that said, “Plymouth officers responded to a possible drowning at the Ramada Inn. Bystanders, two of whom were later identified as off-duty federal law enforcement officers, administered CPR until first responders arrived and took over. The child was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center.”

The statement then went on to conclude by thanking the ICE agents, saying, “On behalf of the Plymouth Police Department, I want to extend our thanks and gratitude for the efforts of [the name of the agents was redacted] in saving the life of a 4-year-old boy. Much more than being in the right place at the right time, the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a chaotic and emotional scene is admirable. Truly excellent work.”
