The major of East Palestine recently tore into President Joe Biden for visiting the Ukraine while ignoring East Palestine, Ohio after the train derailment. Speaking about that, the mayor said:
“That was the biggest slap in the face that tells you right now he doesn’t care about us. He can send every agency he wants to, but I found out this morning and one of the briefings that he was in the Ukraine giving billions of dollars away to people over there and not to us and I’m furious Presidents Day and our country Presidents Day in our country east. He’s over Ukraine so that tells you what kind of guy he is.”
Predictably, the powers that be freaked out over that statement, trying to blame Trump for the train accident or saying that the Ukraine is more important than Ohio.
But the mayor of East Palestine is refusing to back down. In a follow-up to his comments about Biden going to the Ukraine instead of East Palestine, he said “I was real frustrated last night if you’re talking about the comments I made last night. I was very frustrated and I stand by those comments. But if [Biden] wants to come, he’s welcome.”

People on Twitter commented on the above video to show their support for him and disdain for President Joe Biden, saying things like:
“Hey Mayor you don’t need to apologize for a damn thing. Biden showed the whole country how he feels about East Palestine, Ohio. It was a slap in their faces alright and it’s very intentional.”
“Why should he apologize. Joe is in the wrong. He thinks he works for Ukraine. He definitely doesn’t think he works for America.”
“Why should this man apologize he was dealing with an emergency and Bidens flying to Ukraine to promise millions more in tax payers dollars. And then onto Poland. And America needed help BTW where’s the transportation Secretary ?🤔”
“He’s right. It’s insane that billions are being funneled to Ukraine while people that actually live in the USA are left to figure it out themselves when they clearly need government assistance. It doesn’t even make any sense.”
The Biden Administration’s ignoring of the East Palestine situation got so bad that even MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” ripped Mayor Pete for taking so long to visit the town, with co-host Mika Brzezinski saying:
“The transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, did make it clear he should have gone there sooner. Let’s put a pin on that. He should have gone there sooner, and the White House should have done a better job, even though they are in a major transatlantic moment dealing with the future of the safety of the world.”
Continuing, she went on to say “The people of East Palestine need to feel seen and heard, and I think that Pete Buttigieg is taking it on board that he needs to go there and do that. These are people who, right now, are very uncertain about their health and the future of their town.”
Then, wrapping up her criticism of the missing mayor, she said “It is definitely a little bit of a bump for the White House to not make sure they shined a big light on what was happening there and, hopefully, in the days and weeks to come, they’ll be able to do that.”
