Yamaha Flees Gavin Newsom’s Horribly Run California

Another major corporation has decided to join a long list of others who are hightailing it out of Democrat-run California. Yamaha Motor Corp. has called Orange County its home for almost five decades and currently takes up a 279,000-square-foot office building located on 25 acres of land. Tired of the Golden State, with its endless problems and regulations, Yamaha is now in the process of moving its headquarters to Georgia. That move will not be complete until 2028.

The leading company in motorcycles and motorsports revealed that the move is part of big “structural reforms” designed to help them increase profits as the cost of doing business continues to rise, which they partially attribute to President Donald Trump’s imposition of tariffs, along with shifting market conditions, according to a report from The California Post.

The report then says that Georgia isn’t new territory for Yamaha, going on to add, “The company already shifted its marine division there in 1999 and moved its motorsports operations in 2019 — making the headquarters relocation the final piece of the puzzle.”

John Nolte, a writer from Breitbart News, went on to note the mention of Trump’s tariffs, noting that Yamaha is still going to have to pay them in Georgia. Nolte says that the move isn’t about tariffs at all. It’s about how expensive it is to do business in a Democrat-run state like the Golden State, adding that California is a “disaster deliberately created by Democrats and Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom to turn the state into a Third World s**t hole where Democrats can rule forever.”

The writer then theorizes that this is part of a plan by Democrats to chase people out of the state who don’t want to live in it under current conditions. He speculates they are planning to import millions of illegal aliens in order to ensure they don’t lose congressional seats and keep the electoral votes they need to play a big role in choosing the next president.

He wraps up his take on the matter by saying that decline is a choice and that’s the choice Democrats in the state have made. Nolte calls out Democrats in charge of the state for refusing to imprison criminals, leaving borders open, raising taxes, and increasing the cost of energy. A report from Fox News revealed that the company announced the move in February.

Yamaha first established its office in Cypress, California, in 1979, a year after it acquired the land it currently sits on. In 1999, the company moved its marine business to Kennesaw, Georgia. In 2019, it sent  its motorsports business there as well. The Cypress office currently houses most of its corporate functions and financial services business.

“After many years of great partnership, we are honored and proud to welcome Yamaha’s American headquarters to the No. 1 state for business,” Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp went on to say about the move. “This is another loud and clear testament to what we offer job creators from around the world. To any other California-based companies looking for a better home, we’ll give you plenty of reasons to keep Georgia on your mind.”
