RINO Senate Candidate’s Record of Putting Illegal Aliens, Jack Smith, and Joe Biden First While Putting MAGA Americans Last Gets Revealed as Primary Runoff Heats Up

Sen. John Cornyn’s (R-TX) record while serving in the upper chamber of Congress is now being placed under a microscope as the GOP establishment desperately attempts to save him in his current re-election battle against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, also a Republican, in the primary race for Cornyn’s seat, by spending tens of millions of dollars on his campaign.

During the primary race, Cornyn and those who back him have spent at least a mind-blowing $70 million, with some saying upwards of $100 million was spent, to create a narrative that makes it seem as if the senator is a friend of President Donald Trump’s and has a solid conservative record of supporting his America First agenda. The spending was so high it reportedly became the most expensive Senate primary race in American history, and it isn’t even over yet, as it has gone to a runoff.

However, the ads, which were made by Washington consultants, conceal Cornyn’s true history while serving in the Senate, which includes a decade spent attempting to stop President Trump and over two decades undermining the principles of the conservative movement. When efforts were underway by radical Democrats to bankrupt Trump and potentially imprison him, Cornyn went on the attack against him.

According to Breitbart News, Cornyn tried to justify the left’s actions when engaging in lawfare against then-candidate Trump. When the Texas Republican was asked about the indictment and charges against Trump during Jack Smith’s document retention case, Cornyn rebuked Trump, saying, “He’s created a circumstance for himself, which is I think very, very serious. This one is basically something that he’s admitted to on the material facts, and we’ll have to see what the judge and jury does… this is out of the hands of politics now. It’s up to the courts to make the decision.”

He also condemned efforts by Republicans to investigate Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s case against the president, saying, “I would hope they would stick to the agenda they ran on when they got elected to the majority.” When the verdict in the E. Jean Carroll case was announced, he undermined Trump’s campaign by stating, “The fact is, I do not think he could win the presidency.”

In May 2023, Cornyn was on record as saying the GOP “needed someone as an alternative” to Trump, as he claimed that he couldn’t win a general election, claiming his “time had passed him by.” When the senator was asked about his comments, he doubled down by remarking, “In politics, unless you can win an election you’re pretty much irrelevant… I have concerns about the President’s ability to win in November.”

A year prior to those comments, in December 2022, Cornyn said, “I think [Trump is] less relevant all the time. Again, even if you capture all of the Trump voters, you may be able to win a primary but you’re not necessarily going to win a general election.” Cornyn has also been a vocal opponent of President Trump’s efforts to secure the border and build a wall to prevent illegal immigration.

Cornyn slammed the idea of building a wall along the border, calling it “naive,” before adding, “[t]his idea that all you can do is build some obstacle and people won’t go come over it, or go under it, or go through it is naive.” He also stated, “A new, giant wall between the United States and Mexico from sea to shining sea makes no sense whatsoever,” also claiming that the people of Texas would not be supportive of the measure.

During former President Joe Biden’s time in office, Cornyn also sided with the radical left in helping to pass the largest gun control package in decades. Trump opposed the legislation and said that it would “go down in history as the first step in the movement to TAKE YOUR GUNS AWAY.” Cornyn still voted in favor of the bill. Biden himself praised Cornyn for his support, saying he was worthy of honor for being one of two Republican senators who supported the package. The report concluded by stating that the runoff race between Cornyn and Paxton is scheduled for May 26.
