A viral clip shows pastors praying over President Trump in the Oval Office, invoking God’s protection, strength for his leadership, and a return to “one nation under God.” President Trump bowed his head as they prayed over him, with their hands on him as they did their prayers.
Conservative influencers and pastors, including Travis Johnson, Jordan Wells, Derrick Evans, and Libs of TikTok, celebrated it online, claiming Trump openly declared God as his Lord and Savior. They hailed the White House Faith Office event as proof of faith-centered leadership and America’s spiritual renewal, citing Philippians 4:6.
The clip began with a pastor praying over President Trump. “I pray for your grace and your protection over him. I pray for your grace and protection over our troops and all of our men and women serving our armed forces, and father,” the pastor said.
Continuing his prayer, he added, “We just pray you’ll continue to give our president the strength that he needs to lead our great nation as we come back to one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all, we pray Your heavenly blessing upon him in Jesus name, amen.”
Reacting to the situation, Pastor Travis Johnson posted, “Pastor’s lifting up President Donald Trump in prayer is a blessing. One reason it is a blessing is because President Trump invites the pastors to pray for him.”
